Responsibilities include coordinating equipment installations, technical support, process improvements, development of preventive maintenance, and compliance of Environmental and Safety Objectives.\nJob Responsibilities\nDemonstrates the application of Engineering Concepts (tools/ principles) and evidence of creative thinking (Lean Manufacturing, Leadership, Advanced Prints, BOM´s, Tolerance Stack ups).\nEvaluates and Improves manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.\nPlans, organizes, and leads projects teams through PROLaunch (Phase-Gate process).\nDemonstrates application of basic projects management tools/principles (Ex.: Action Items, Project Plan, Critical Routes and Team Meetings).\nProcess Change implementation.\nCoordinates manufacturing or building of prototype products or systems.\nConfers with manufacturing, marketing, sales and suppliers to develop designs and resolve design and/or production issues.\nShows tangible evidence of critical problem-solving tools.\nTooling and equipment procurement, studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.\nQualifications:\nEducation level required\nBachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, electronic or manufacturing engineering required\nYears and area of experience required\n4 years’ experience in manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally in the automotive industry\nTechnical knowledge\nKnowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques and manufacturing processes.\nDemonstrated knowledge and training in assembly controls, automation, mistake proofing techniques and CNC programming.\nKnoledge of PRO-Launch methodology\nExperience conducting multidisciplinary teams.\nSkills at interpreting mechanical drawings and basic use of CAD and/or Solid works systems.\nKnowledge of machinery functions (hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic operations)\nSkills:\nSoft skills\nSolving Problems and analysis techniques (5’s, 8D’s, Ishikawa, A3).\nBackground or experience in quality basics such as statistical process control, capability studies and gage R&R´s.\nEnglish language intemediate level.\nGreen Belt (Six Sigma) certification will be considered a plus.\nSAP knowledge focuses on Manufacturing Processes.\nThis position requires some travel.\nIt requires the use management skills, act as a liaison for associates at all levels.\nParticipate and assist in meeting all plant Environmental Health and Safety objectives.\nEstablish a timely response for corrective actions to help drive continuous improvement through the Environmental Management Program.\nDevelop and implement positive employee relations (Eaton Philosophy) to encourage employee involvement and to create an environment in which employees see no need for third party intervention.\nProactive & results driven.\nStrong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and fluency.\nDemonstrated and mature systems integration, planning and execution abilities are essential.\nDemonstrated continuous improvement of preventive maintenance system required\nParticipate actively in Eaton’s initiatives such as community involvement, diversity and wellness\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
