Develops process improvement and cost control programs throughout the plant. Performs review of customer/industry/internal specifications to ensure processes meet/exceed requirements. Provides technical support to operations, customers, and suppliers as needed. Perform supervisory duties and provide customer requirement training to employees as necessary.\nComplete Quality Engineering assignments with minimal supervision. \nDefine, specify, and implement Quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes. Execute the development, implementation, and improvement of the appropriate Quality Management System throughout the operation, providing advanced quality planning support in the development and launch of new products, processes and services.\nProvide technical advice and counsel cross-functional teams assigned to process improvement projects. \nProvide technical guidance to less experienced engineers. \nAnalyze organizational Quality metrics and evaluate results and recommend action plans. \nDevelop and analyze statistical data and product/process performance to recommend and implement improvement.\nPrepare corrective action reports as necessary. Assist in the Investigation and elimination of the root causes of Quality problems. Develop and implement corrective actions.\nHost Source inspectors and/or Customer Auditors as needed.\nPrepare and present material to customer representatives and/or facility employees as required.\nProvide technical support to both internal and external customers. Support the Supply Chain Management organization relative to the collection and analysis of supplier quality data providing expertise and assists suppliers with product and process quality requirements as needed.\nFormulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards. Participate in and lead the auditing of internal Quality System\nSupervise other personnel as assigned or required. Handle training and performance reviews of subordinate staff.\nProvide support and or lead any improvement team activities. Evaluate process variables such as capability, MSA, SPC out-of-control conditions and process audit findings\nOther duties as assigned\nWork in conjunction with the Divisional Supplier Development team to understand/mitigate Supplier Risk, supporting Supplier Audits to ensure that suppliers are working in conformance with Customer, AS9100, Part 21G and other 3rd party requirements. \nEnsure timely closure of WISPER 8Ds from internal and external supplier non-conforming material and support the business in recovering Cost of Poor Quality from the Supply Chain \nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. A total of ten (10) years manufacturing experience may be allowed in lieu of the Bachelors degree and 3 years manufacturing experience.\nSkills:\nAbility to read and understand blue prints, specifications, and requirements.\nKnowledge of machining, assembly operations, gauging, SPC, APQP, and quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100).\nExperience in performing Quality Audits.\nExperience using PC configured with MS Windows OS. Familiarity with MS Office software is desired.\nProject Management experience is preferred.\nPrior supervisory experience is preferred.\nASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr.) is preferred.\nExperience of leading PFMEAs\nThorough understanding of problem solving methods-i.e. Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis, and the associated statistical tools used to analyze problems, evaluate and complete improvement projects\nKnowledge and understanding of Eaton’s corporate Supplier Quality Assurance requirements\nDetailed understanding of the key phases and requirements of an effective new product development and launch methodology\nDetailed knowledge of industry and customer specific quality registration schemes and certification processes (i.e., ISO9001, ISO/TS-16949, AS9100 etc).\nLead audits and have detailed knowledge of auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma capability studies, MSA) concepts and tool sets as they relate to process/product variability, and root cause and corrective action determination.\nDetailed knowledge of product and end user application/specifications, including product testing requirements.
