Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nThe Senior Quality Engineer supports manufacturing operations by developing, implementing, and maintaining quality tools, systems, and processes that ensure the production of safe, reliable, and compliant products in accordance with the Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS) and Eaton Business System (EBS). This role drives continuous improvement through auditing, data analysis, and process evaluation to identify quality gaps and opportunities for operational excellence. The Senior Quality Engineer leads cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and problem solving to resolve manufacturing issues related to scrap, first pass yield (FPY), customer concerns, and other production-related challenges, ensuring sustainable corrective actions and improved business performance.\nIn this role you will:\nLead or develop FMEAs, with a focus on PFMEAs.\nWorks in partnership with manufacturing engineering to support all development projects and milestones related to Quality and improve the overall process to achieve zero defect quality and launch readiness.\nDirectly supports ISO 9001 quality system and supports the implementation and management of the site quality system and procedures (EQMS).\nSupport revisions of process control documents such as Control Plans, VOPs, and other quality tools to ensure compliance.\nDrive actions with statistical analysis and process capability (Cpk, Ppk) where necessary to improve performance or product quality.\nSupport supplier PPAP submissions including control plans and assists with control plan creation where necessary. \nWorks with Design Engineering, Marketing and Supply Chain to ensure that quality criteria are clearly identified on all newly established parts and communicated to suppliers.\nSupport customer complaints (Internal-External) related to the facility and for tracking, monitoring and initiating Corrective Actions.\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree from an accredited institution \nThree (3) years of experience in manufacturing working in a quality, manufacturing, or process engineering role related to transformers, electronics, or similar manufacturing environments.\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.\n\nRelocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of Nacogdoches, TX\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. \nSolve problems utilizing common problem-solving methodologies/tools such as PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone diagrams, is/is not tables, pareto charts, control charts, etc.\nLead cross-functional projects utilizing standard project management tools.\nExperience leading or developing FMEAs\nAbility to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form\nAbility to write technical documents such as procedures and specifications\nISO9001 or TS16949 Experience\nGood understanding of lean concepts, principles & tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Set-up Reduction, Pull Systems and Standardized Work.\nSix Sigma Black/Green Belt certification.\nCertified Quality Engineer (CQE) or justifiable equivalent\nCertified Quality Auditor (CQA) or justifiable equivalent\nAbility to query and manipulate data using MS Excel, MS Access, Minitab, and/or other programs and transform the data into information\nSAP Experience preferred\nAdditional Information:\nAbility to be the voice and advocate of the quality management strategy within the plant organization.\nFlexibility to work hours as needed to support customer needs including non-standard hours, weekends, and other items as appropriate as they arise.\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
