This position plans and schedules truckload and LTL shipments, processes shipping documentation, supports order fulfillment activities, and maintains accurate shipping records within SAP and other business systems. Serves as a key liaison between Production, Logistics, Material Handling, carriers, and customers to ensure shipment schedules are met and customer requirements are fulfilled. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, the ability to safely operate forklift equipment, and the flexibility to work in both office and manufacturing environments while maintaining a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.\n\nIn this function, you will:\nPlan, route, and coordinate truckload shipments in partnership with the logistics team.\nProcess delivery drops and print pick tickets for order handlers.\nSchedule less-than-truckload (LTL) carriers as business needs require.\nCoordinate with Production regarding finished-goods completion and availability for scheduled truckload shipments.\nAssist material handlers with established bundling procedures.\nGather and consolidate orders from departments throughout the facility as needed.\nEnter, maintain, and verify shipping and order data accurately and timely.\nUse SAP to process, track, and support shipping transactions and related documentation.\nSafely operate forklift trucks and other authorized material-handling equipment.\nApply strong knowledge of products and services to support an effective transition between production-floor and office responsibilities.\nDirect employees, truck drivers, and incoming traffic through designated plant areas while providing professional customer service.\nCommunicate effectively with employees, drivers, carriers, Production, Logistics, and other internal partners.\nMaintain organized shipping records and coordinate priorities to support timely order fulfillment.\nComply with all Eaton Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.\nPerform other related duties as assigned to support shipping and plant operations.\n\nKEY TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE\nTruckload and LTL shipment coordination\nSAP shipping and order transactions\nPick-ticket and shipping-document processing\nData entry and records accuracy\nForklift and material-handling practices\nFinished-goods and order-flow coordination\nCustomer service and traffic direction\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution.\nMinimum one (1) year of experience in shipping, logistics, warehousing, material handling, inventory control, or a related manufacturing support role.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.\nPrior forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in shipping, logistics, warehousing, order fulfillment, or a related manufacturing support function.\nExperience using SAP or a comparable enterprise resource planning system.\nExperience coordinating truckload and LTL shipments.\nSkills:\nPosition Success Criteria:\nDemonstrated organizational, planning, coordination and communication skills, verbally and written.\nDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, for communication, data management, reporting, and shipment coordination.\nAbility to prepare and maintain accurate shipping records, reports, and correspondence using Microsoft Office and SAP systems.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing shipment and production requirements.\nAbility to work effectively between office and plant-floor environments.\nAbility to provide clear direction to employees, drivers, and visitors while maintaining professional customer service.\nAbility to work collaboratively with Production, Logistics, material handlers, order handlers, and other departments.\nCommitment to accurate documentation, timely communication, safety, quality, and customer requirements.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform material-handling activities throughout the workday.\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment that may include noise, moving equipment, varying temperatures, and required personal protective equipment.\nAbility to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move materials weighing up to 50 pounds using available mechanical assistance or team-lifting practices, as appropriate.\nAbility to work overtime as business needs require.\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
