Effectively communicate and coordinate shipment status between all parties.\nOversee outbound stock to ship items for service orders.\nSupports shipping and receiving department including but not limited to; processes/procedures (Safety and Operation), data collection and reporting, data storage, and receiving/ shipment/ delivery of product and material, including mail.\nCompare shipping order to identify units and/or material for shipment. Select and prepare paperwork, commercial invoices, custom papers, shipping lists, instruction booklet, etc.\nMust be able and willing to consistently take responsibility to professionally communicate with their immediate team, other Eaton employees, and vendors.\nFamiliar with freight standards for both domestic and foreign receipt and shipment. Works closely with Shipping and Receiving Lead to keep up to date with all Mobility and Corporate contracts governing shipments.\nMaintain a zero-incident safety culture and follow Eaton’s Life Saving Rules and company policies.\nVerify styles and quantities of outgoing materials against shipping labels and schedules.\nCoordinate between two manufacturing sites and multiple shifts to ensure shipping schedules are being executed.\nIdentify opportunities for process improvement as well as complete root cause analysis in response to issues with quality or production.\nMaintain adequate levels of shipping and packaging supplies.\nKeep shipping areas clean and organized per 5S standards; complete daily housekeeping checklists.\nInvestigate and resolve material discrepancies; report issues to purchasing as needed.\nQualifications:\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment\nMinimum of 2 years of experience as a shipping clerk or other similar role\nMinimum of 1 year of experience with Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel in a workplace setting\nNo relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Richmond, VA facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience using SAP\n1-3 years of experience in shipping for a manufacturing business\nSkills:\nPosition Criteria:\nWillingness to participate or lead a multi-functional team.\nWillingness to learn and develop new skillsets as needed.\nHave an on-the-floor presence at all Richmond manufacturing facilities.\nWorking knowledge of basic computer systems including but not limited to: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP\nMust have excellent verbal and interpersonal relationship skills\nAbility to work independently.\nPhysical capability of standing 8 hours each day, moving around equipment and buildings, and lifting up to 50lbs.\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
