Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nThe Structural Prefab Technician prepares, lasers, shears, and fabricates metal components used in the construction of modular buildings. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, perform measurements and calculations, operate fabrication equipment, and complete routine to semi-complex fabrication tasks with limited supervision. The technician supports production schedules, quality standards, and continuous improvement efforts within the Structural Prefab department.\nFibrebond, an Eaton company, designs and manufactures pre integrated modular buildings and power enclosures that protect mission critical equipment for data center, industrial, utility, and communications customers. In 2025, Fibrebond was acquired by Eaton, expanding Eaton’s modular solutions portfolio while preserving Fibrebond’s strong engineering expertise, customer focus, and manufacturing operations in Louisiana.\nIn this function you will:\nRead and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules\nSet up and operate fabrication equipment (laser, shear, press brake, turret) to cut and form metal components to specification\nLayout, position, rotate, and secure materials on machines, beds, roller tables, and turntables\nInspect fabricated parts using measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, gauges, templates) to verify quality and dimensions\nPerform basic programming and preventative maintenance of fabrication equipment\nUse hand tools to align, adjust, and secure components during fabrication\nOperate ancillary equipment such as hoists, notches, and forklifts as required\nReceive, stage, and put away materials as needed\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through housekeeping, 5S, and scrap removal\nAssist with training and cross-training initiatives as directed\nPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or Manufacturing Manager\nQualifications:\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED from an accredited institution\nNo relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Minden, LA facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position.
