This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility and will support key initiatives focused on supplier performance, cost competitiveness, risk mitigation, and process optimization within a complex aerospace supply chain environment. You will develop skills in strategic sourcing, supply chain analytics, supplier relationship management, cost modeling and financial analysis, supply chain risk management, working capital optimization, and aerospace procurement processes. You will develop executive-level communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.\nJob Responsibilities\n\nCost Modeling & Analysis\no Develop and maintain cost-up and cost-out models to evaluate supplier pricing changes, commodity impacts, and cost reduction opportunities.\no Support data-driven sourcing decisions through cost analysis and benchmarking.\nSupplier Performance & QBR Enhancement\no Participate in Supplier Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and assist in enhancing supplier performance management processes.\no Identify opportunities to improve review effectiveness, KPI reporting, and supplier collaboration.\nSupplier Resiliency & Risk Management\no Support initiatives focused on strengthening supply chain resiliency through supplier risk assessments, continuity planning, and mitigation strategies.\no Analyze supplier dependencies and identify opportunities to improve supply security.\nLong-Term Agreement (LTA) Evaluation\no Conduct supplier assessments to support the development of strategic Long-Term Agreements.\no Analyze supplier capabilities, performance, market position, and commercial considerations to support sourcing recommendations.\nWorking Capital & Payment Term Optimization\no Evaluate payment term strategies and working capital improvement opportunities.\no Assess financial impacts and support initiatives that balance supplier relationships with cash flow objectives.\nBid & Proposal (B&P) Process Improvement\no Support continuous improvement efforts within the Bid & Proposal process.\no Evaluate parking lot strategies, sourcing approaches, and process efficiencies that improve competitiveness and execution.\nProcurement Operations & Aerospace Supply Chain Fundamentals\no Gain exposure to end-to-end procurement processes within an aerospace manufacturing environment.\no Develop an understanding of the transactional and strategic functions of Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Supplier Management.\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications\nMust be enrolled and must be at least a Junior majoring in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business. \nMinimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).\nCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.\nRelocation is not provided for this role. Must reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY. \nPreferred Qualifications\nCompleted Junior or Senior year in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, at the start of the internship. \nStrong understanding of Microsoft applications.\nKnowledge of ERP Systems, Oracle a plus\nSkills:\nPosition Criteria / Soft skills\nAnalytical Thinking: The ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful conclusions to contribute to design decisions.\nProblem-Solving: An aptitude for identifying challenges and suggesting creative and innovative solutions.\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
