Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nAs a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the primary function of the Supply Chain Manager is to plan, direct, and coordinate all supply chain and customer service functions for the Cleveland, TN facility, including procurement (internal and external suppliers), materials/inventory management, receiving and warehouse operations, material handling, and logistics. Plan and manage the procurement of a large variety of complex materials and services to effectively support the product line strategy, growth, and on-going production requirements for the plant. Oversee the review and negotiation of purchase price, quality, availability, delivery, and other factors necessary to ensure the overall conformance of materials purchased to manufacturing specifications and overall company production objectives.\nIn this function you will:\nBe a leader and proponent of Zero Incident Culture, focusing on safe processes, equipment, and behaviors across the Cleveland plant.\nLead materials management strategy for the plant, driving continuous improvement and achievement of profit plan objectives for material availability, inventory days on hand, and premium freight.\nLead procurement strategy for the plant and help set strategic sourcing direction for the overall Panelboard and Switchboard product line, including meeting objectives for NPD sourcing, PROLaunch on-time performance, dual sourcing, supplier quality, early supplier involvement, and lead time reduction.\nPartner with value-streams to pro-actively develop supply chain solutions to improve performance, including make vs buy strategy, outsourcing, material lead time reduction, VA/VE, and productivity improvements.\nDrive material and logistics cost out performance for the plant, ensuring robust pipeline development through VA/VE, negotiation, sourcing, and other tools, while driving consistent project execution to achieve profit plan savings and productivity objectives\nImprove and sustain use of Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) across Supply Chain in the areas material planning, receiving / warehouse, logistics, and procurement, including use and sustainment of leader standard work, tier processes, Gemba walks, visual controls, and process checks.\nDrive a culture of continuous improvement and root cause analysis, including robust use of 5-why, 8D, RCA and sustained corrective actions.\nContinuously advance supply chain maturity on Eaton Materials Management Assessment (MMA) process.\nLead inbound and outbound logistics function to increase delivery service level, reduce freight damage, and reduce transit-time while lowering total logistics cost (reduction in freight cost, packaging cost, and freight claims).\nSupport product line growth by aligning materials management strategy to business strategy, through developing inventory programs to support customer requested lead times and developing a responsive and agile supply base.\nDrive increased SIOP maturity across the plant while expanding and improving supplier forecasting processes.\nAlign procurement strategy with overall Eaton procurement strategy, leveraging Commodity Management, Corporate SCM initiatives, supplier risk management, supplier diversity, and multiple sourcing.\nAchieve continued reduction of excess and obsolete inventory through effective disposition process management, while addressing root cause and preventing additional excess and obsolete material creation.\nExpand maturity and utilization of supplier inventory programs, including vendor managed inventory, consignment, supplier stocking, and Kanban.\nManage purchasing process to ensure purchase order and contract compliance with financial and legal policies.\nDevelop strong supply chain talent pool and succession planning, through on-going development plans, mentoring, and training of SCM functional team members.\nTake plant leadership roles in key processes, including EHS assessments, Quality assessments, and ISO requirements.\nDrive culture of delivering quality and ‘make no, pass no, accept no defects” to improve supplier and SCM quality, while supporting quality improvement initiatives across the plant.\nImprove and sustain receiving, warehouse, and material handling performance, including inventory and transaction accuracy, perpetual inventory, 5S, safety, and productivity.\nQualifications:\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution\nMinimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management\nMinimum 2 years of experience managing people\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n10 years of experience in supply chain management is preferred\n3 years of experience managing a team of people is preferred\nCPIM Certification\nSAP and MAPICS experience\nSkills:\nDemonstrated effective leadership skills with ability to get results through self and others.\nMust have a general understanding of accounting principles, industrial engineering, and manufacturing processes.\nMust exhibit a strong sense of urgency and ability to balance multiple priorities, aligning self and the team to focus on the items with the biggest impact.\nDemonstrated ability to develop supply chain plans that support sales, delivery, and inventory objectives simultaneously for a multi-product plant.\nStrong statistical and data analysis skills, able to mine data, develop insights, and drive improvements with large and complex data sets using Microsoft Excel and other software packages.\nStrong building organizational capability (BOC) skills, and ability to leverage Eaton Leadership Model (ELM) to develop strong competencies and behaviors across the supply chain team.\nAbility to think strategically and see the big picture, distilling out key actionable opportunities to optimize holistically (whole to part thinking).\nStrong presentation, written, and oral communication skills with proven ability to able to present and persuade complex ideas to all levels of corporate hierarchy, business leaders, customers, and suppliers.\nAdditional Information:\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
