Leveraging a broad portfolio of power, cooling, software, services, and infrastructure solutions, Eaton helps customers deploy scalable, integrated data center architectures that meet today's needs while preparing for the future.\nThis role may site #remote within the United States.\nPosition Summary\nEaton is seeking aDirector, Systems Architecture to join the Data Center Architecture Team.\nThis senior technical leadership role will define and drive the architecture of the data center IT Module (white space), including high-density power distribution, cooling integration, rack infrastructure, modular deployment strategies, and pod-level system design. The position serves as the primary systems integrator across white space components, ensuring scalable, repeatable, and optimized designs that enable rapid deployment of compute capacity for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and next-generation AI data centers.\nAs a key member of the Data Center Architecture Team, you will help develop end-to-end reference architectures and collaborate directly with customers to shape future data center solutions.\nWhat will make you successful;\nTechnical Expertise\nProven experience leading large-scale, mission-critical power architectures from concept through deployment.\nTechnical;\nMedium-voltage and low-voltage electrical distribution\nUPS systems\nEnergy storage\nPower electronics\nAC and DC power architectures\nProtective coordination\nSwitchgear and busway systems\n\nKnowledge of emerging high-voltage DC architectures and future power distribution technologies.\nLeadership & Influence\nAbility to communicate complex technical concepts to executive, engineering, and operational audiences.\nExperience leading cross-functional teams in matrixed organizations.\nDemonstrated success mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.\nCustomer-Focused Innovation\nStrong customer-facing experience working with enterprise or hyperscale data center operators.\nAbility to incorporate customer requirements into product roadmaps and solution architectures.\nProven ability to develop white papers, technical publications, and thought leadership content.\nContinuous Improvement\nExperience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or DMAIC methodologies.\nFamiliarity with Agile, Scrum, and traditional project management methodologies.\nRequirements:\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree engineering or a related technical discipline.\nMinimum 10 years of experience within the data center industry.\nExperience spanning multiple data center domains.\nLocation & Travel\nRemote within the United States.\nUp to 75% travel required.\nSponsorship\nEaton will not provide employment-based immigration sponsorship for this position now or in the future, including H-1B, TN, O-1, OPT, CPT, STEM OPT, or related employment authorization sponsorship.\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
