Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\n\nPosition Overview:\nThe assembly team leader will be responsible for leading the personnel and production activities of the assembly process, flow and operations; plan and coordinate manufacturing or support schedules to effectively meet customer requirements and company commitments for product/service quality and timeliness, manage unit operations and schedules to ensure the most effective use of personnel, materials, equipment, and other company resources within assigned functional areas, within or below defined production or operational costs. Exhibits commitment to focus on defining processes and disciplined adherence to the Standard Work for Team Leaders. Directs team and communications with other shifts’ Leaders to ensure smooth hand-offs from shift-to-shift.\nIn this function you will:\nSustainment of 5S+ in all responsible areas.\nProvide leadership and direction of work for team, ensuring products are assembled correctly and efficiently.\nMaintain and monitor all safety protocols ensuring team is wearing proper PPE.\nManage and supervise assembly line operations, including scheduling and task assignments.\nEnsure that team members follow defined assembly procedures and comply with quality requirements.\nTrain new assembly line workers on procedures and safety protocols.\nProvide ongoing training and support to team members to achieve high standards.\nMaintain a safe working environment and ensure all storage areas are to 5S standards. Ensure all material storage is compliant with EHS guidelines.\nEnsure excess & obsolete material is identified, approved and disposed in timely fashion. Responsible for taking actions around Inventory profile.\nGuide and oversee work operations to respond positively to unusual situations, changes, material shortages, and varying manpower requirements.\nTrain new team members on procedures and safety protocols.\nProvide ongoing training and support to team members to achieve high standards.\nAddress any assembly line issues and implement effective solutions.\nIdentify business improvement opportunities and perform root cause analysis to resolve problems.\nReport production metrics to the supervisor or operations manager.\nCoordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient production processes.\nResponsible for overall inventory management within the facility by ensuring inventory transactions and balances are accurate and controls.\nUse appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products. May lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs.\nQualifications:\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\nMinimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.\nAt least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment\nPreferred qualifications:\nAt least 1 year of leadership experience managing people.\nPrior experience with leadership\nExcellent leadership and communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.\nTechnical expertise in assembly line operations.\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
