Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nDevelop and own Tech Roadmap for VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) - blended with NPI Tech Roadmap. \nConduct thorough analyses of existing products, identifying areas for improvement in design, materials, and manufacturing processes. \nDeliver projects that result in optimized product design, manufacturing processes, and cost structures to enhance overall value. \nIdentify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement throughout the product lifecycle. \nLead initiatives to implement value engineering principles, ensuring that products meet or exceed customer expectations while maximizing profitability by working closely with cross-functional teams. \nLead value engineering ideation events and projects across all divisional sites and strategic suppliers applying systematic methodologies to enhance product value and reduce costs to meet year over year savings objectives. \nCollaborate with design, manufacturing, and procurement teams to implement cost-effective solutions without compromising product quality or performance. \nUtilize Pro-PM and waterline process to ensure project prioritization and resource allocation alignment. \nIdentify potential risks associated with proposed changes and develop mitigation plans to ensure a smooth implementation of value engineering initiatives. \nStay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to benchmark our products against competitors and market leaders. \nIdentifies or defines best practices within engineering and documents, trains and deploys the same. \nMaintain comprehensive documentation of value engineering projects, including cost savings achieved, design changes implemented, and overall impact on product performance. \nPromote and teach Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools, lead technical mentoring, and support cross-site engineering audits and reviews. \nCreate effective strategies to help streamline processes, cut out waste and save money.\nQualifications:\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution\nMinimum seven (7) years of engineering responsibility including project management.\nMinimum three (3) years of experience managing of an engineering team\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
