The position drives continuous improvement while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).\nEssential Functions:\nAble to confer with Design Engineering on manufacturability and testability of new products and bring new products into Manufacturing:\na. Ability to understand manufacturing, assembly, welding, and fit & trim process, be able to interact with Design Engineers in technical discussions around these processes.\nb. Possesses a good understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance usage.\nc. Familiarity with New Product Introduction project management systems.\nd. Evaluates/Selects tooling and equipment supplies as well welding process. Writes capital justification requests.\nDevelops, evaluates, and improve manufacturing methods, including tooling, fixtures for welding.\nConducts research and development investigations to develop and test new fabrication processes and procedures.\nImprove existing welding equipment, develop new and modify current welding methods, techniques, and procedures.\nPrepares technical reports as result of research and development and preventive maintenance investigations.\nEstablishes welding procedures to guide production and welding personnel relating to specification restrictions, material processes, welding of critical joints.\nTesting welding personnel for certification.
