THIS IS A SENIOR POSITION\n\nThis role is ideal for someone who can build scalable data pipelines on Microsoft Azure Fabric, leverage AI to improve engineering productivity, and work closely with business and technical stakeholders.\n\nAbout the Role\nWe're looking for a Senior Platform Architect with strong DevOps expertise to design, implement, and operationalize our Microsoft Fabric data platform. You'll own the architecture of our unified data estate — spanning OneLake, Data Factory pipelines, Synapse Data Engineering, Power BI, and Real-Time Analytics — while building the CI/CD, governance, and automation backbone that lets our data teams ship reliably and securely. This is a hands-on architecture role: you'll set technical direction and also build it yourself.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.\n10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Cloud Data Platform development.\n4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Data Platform technologies.\n2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric in enterprise implementations.\nStrong expertise in SQL, PySpark, Python, and Spark optimization.\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric components including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Power BI, and Real-Time Intelligence.\nExperience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.\nStrong knowledge of dimensional data modeling, ETL/ELT architecture, and data governance.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign and own the end-to-end architecture for Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake data lake structure, workspace and capacity strategy, domain/workspace segregation, and medallion (bronze/silver/gold) layering.\nDefine and implement DevOps practices for Fabric: Git integration, deployment pipelines, environment promotion (dev/test/prod), and infrastructure-as-code for Fabric items (lakehouses, warehouses, notebooks, pipelines, semantic models).\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) for Fabric artifacts, including automated testing, validation, and rollback strategies.\nArchitect and enforce governance, security, and access controls across Fabric — workspace roles, OneLake data access policies, sensitivity labels, row-level security, and integration with Microsoft Purview.\nPartner with data engineers, analysts, and platform teams to standardize development patterns, reusable templates, and best practices across Fabric workloads (Data Factory, Data Engineering/Spark, Data Warehouse, Real-Time Intelligence, Power BI).\nLead migration efforts from legacy platforms (Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, on-prem SSIS/SQL Server, or other cloud data warehouses) onto Microsoft Fabric.\nMentor engineering teams on Fabric architecture patterns, DevOps practices, and operational excellence.\nRoles & Responsibilities: Technical Leadership\nLead the end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Fabric solutions across enterprise programs.\nDefine technical architecture, engineering standards, and best practices for Microsoft Fabric adoption.\nProvide technical leadership to a team of data engineers and developers.\nReview solution designs, code, and deployment strategies to ensure quality and scalability.\nMicrosoft Fabric Architecture\nDesign and implement enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric components including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Real-Time Intelligence, Data Engineering, and Power BI.\nArchitect scalable, cloud-native data solutions supporting analytics, AI, and business intelligence workloads.\n3 + years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, or deep equivalent experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, and Azure Data Factory with a clear path to Fabric.\nStrong command of OneLake, Lakehouse and Warehouse architecture, Delta Lake/Parquet formats, and medallion architecture design.\nData Engineering & Integration\nDesign and develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory and Spark Notebooks.\nIntegrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from cloud and with business teams to translate analytical requirements into scalable data solutions.\nPerformance Optimization\nOptimize Spark workloads, SQL Warehouse performance, and OneLake storage utilization.\nImplement partitioning, indexing, caching, and workload optimization strategies.\nMonitor platform performance and proactively resolve bottlenecks.\nSecurity & Governance\nImplement enterprise security using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and Fabric workspace security.\nEnsure adherence to enterprise security, privacy, and regulatory standards.\nDevOps & Automation\nImplement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub.\nAutomate deployment of Microsoft Fabric artifacts across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.\nManage source control, release management, and
