If this is the culture and work environment you are seeking, then EBAD is the place for you!\nJob Description\nEBAD seeks an engineer for the position Development Engineer, reporting to the Product Development Engineering Lead.\nResponsibilities:\nThe development engineer (DE) is the technical lead on internal and external projects and is responsible for all technical and schedule aspects of the project/product from concept through development, qualification and production. Primary duties include:\nDevelopment and maintenance of the technical data package\nCreate 3D conceptual models\nPerform design trade studies and hand calculations\nInteract with customers on design, interface and functional details\nInteract with suppliers to procure prototype parts for risk reduction testing\nExecute the EBAD development process by facilitating internal and customer facing cross-functional meetings and design reviews\nRequirements generation, allocation, flow down, and verification\nTechnical compliance and risk assessment/management\nCoordination of project team technical tasks\nAdditional duties include coordination with other departments to ensure the production viability of new designs, creation of the required documentation, and internal and customer approval for this documentation.\nRequirements:\nThe successful candidate must have a BS/MS in an engineering discipline and experience in project, design or related engineering experience. Mechanical and/or Aerospace are the preferred engineering disciplines.\nRequired experience includes:\nProven leadership of technical teams\nStrong time and task management skills\nAbility to evaluate, understand, and apply customer requirements and government/military specifications to design\nDemonstrated experience generating 3D models & 2D drawings, SolidWorks preferred\nCapable of interpreting GD&T\nStrong written, verbal and presentation skills for interaction with various levels of management and customers\nAbility to adapt to project changes and overcome technical challenges\nDemonstrated competency in problem solving and root cause analysis\nMust have or be able to obtain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.\nCompetent with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nPreferred Skills:\nKnowledge of explosive materials and energetic devices\nExperience with product development, rapid prototyping, and manufacturing processes\nExperience with product testing including test requirements development and procedure generation\nKnowledge of dynamic test methods including shock, sinusoidal vibration, and random vibration\nExperience applying GD&T and understanding of how it affects part manufacturing, inspection, and cost\nAbility to perform tolerance analyses to ensure proper assembly and system integration\nExperience with MS Project\nANSYS and Solid Works experience\nAerospace industry experience\nEnsign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
