This position is located in Moorpark, CA and will report to the Value Stream Manager.\nResponsibilities:\nThe Production Scheduler is responsible to comprehensively plan and manage the execution of daily manufacturing activities required to support the production programs within specified production cells. This position works with the Shop Floor Supervisor and Production Planner to execute the logistics, coordination and completion of all tasks associated with product manufacturing.\nResponsibilities:\nLeading all work scheduling actions ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available to drive material and capacity requirements including planning adjustments resulting from unplanned demand, forecast shortfalls, production and inventory changes, and changes in customer demand.\n\nReviewing new sales order requests and determining feasible delivery dates.\n\nDeveloping the production schedules and maintaining the production visual board for assigned production cell(s); illustrating the status of the production activities for current programs.\n\nMonthly planning of operator and equipment resource loading / capacity planning utilizing MS project or MS Excel.\n\nCreating the plan for the weekly work required to be flowing through the assigned production cell(s).\n\nBrief daily gemba walk team on current status, obstacles impeding flow, and assistance that is needed.\n\nPresenting production area performance (SQDC and Program Status) to senior management when required.\n\nWorking with Product Engineers, Production Planner and Buyers to ensure material flow and production activities are aligned.\n\nEvaluating production activities for continuous improvement opportunities.\n\nPresenting forward-looking capacity in assigned production cell(s) to site leadership at monthly SIOP meeting.\n\nCoordinates with Production Manager on manpower planning to ensure alignment with resources needed to execute yearly backlog & proposed production requirements.\n\nActively contribute to team activities and brief site operations leadership at Quarterly Operating Reviews.\n\nRequirements:\nBS Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, an Engineering Discipline or equivalent. (Equivalent years of experience will be considered)\n\nStrong planning and organizational skills, with ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and assignments.\n\nExcellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.\n\nGood working knowledge of computer applications such as ERP/MRP, proficient in MS Office Suite: Project, Excel, Word, and Power Point.\n\nAbility to motivate people, particularly a production workforce environment\n\nLEAN Manufacturing concept implementation experience preferred\n\nSalary Range: $90,000- $120,000\nEnsign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
