This role ensures accurate financial reporting, maintains general ledger integrity, assists with month-end close processes, and supports compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, able to work both independently and collaboratively, and continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes.\nKey Responsibilities\nOversee the fixed asset subledger, including CIP tracking, asset capitalization, disposals, depreciation, monthly reconciliations, and related journal entries.\nManage accounts receivable and cash application processes, including posting customer payments, issuing credits, and reconciling accounts\nPrepare standard and adjusting journal entries to support the month end close\nPerform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies timely\nPrepare monthly sales & use tax filings with support from Tax Department\nProcess purchasing card and T&E card requests and ensure compliance with company policies\nAssist with year-end audit activities, including preparation of audit schedules\nIdentify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls\nQualifications\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance\n2+ years of accounting experience \nCPA candidate preferred \nSkills & Competencies\nContinuous improvement mindset\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel\nExperience with accounting software/ERP systems\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\nEnsign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
