He/she will focus on building reliable and responsive microservices services and infrastructure to support mobile app teams. One should be adept at proving designs by rapid prototyping, when applicable.\nJob Responsibilities:\nDesign and build innovative advertising, marketing platform features that help eBay sellers, advertisers grow their business and help eBay become the dominant eCommerce platform.\nBuild services and systems infrastructure using your strong background in distributed systems, network system design, and large scale database systems.\nOwn all aspects of software engineering and product development.Provide strong technical leadership with a focus on continuous improvement.\nResearch, analyze, design, develop and test the solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.\nParticipate in design discussions and project related team meetings.\nPartner with other developers, product managers, QA, analysts and operations teams to deliver scalable, fault-tolerant solutions.\nPractice and improve industry standard methodologies, such as CI/CD, test automation, A/B testing and experimentation.\nMaintain the highest coding and quality standards.\nIdentify project risks and work optimally to mitigate them.\nDevelop industry and product technical expertise.\nJob Requirements:\nBE in Computer Science or related field plus 7 years work experience or MS with 6 years of relevant experience.\nDegree in computer science/engineering or equivalent professional experience.\n5-10 years of proven experience in back end technologies.\nExpertise in server side languages such as Java and frameworks (such as Spring, Spring Boot), scripting languages (such as Python) and NodeJS.\nProficiency with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ.\nTrack record of REST API design, documentation, and development.\nProficient working experience with design and development of microservices is required.\nProficient working experience with huge data sets in relational (such as Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL (such as Couchbase, MongoDB) databases.Understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JSON, is essential.\nExcellent communication, presentation, social and analytical skills.\nExperience with Test Driven Development frameworks like jUnit, Mockito is a plus.\nExperience with Agile software methodologies is desirable.\nAble to work in a fast-paced environment and with small and remote teams.Go-getter, confirmed problem solver with excellent testing and debugging skills.Comfortable working with Git in a CI/CD environment.\nBenefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
