The Manager will ensure that photography and editorial content work together to create a best-in-class customer experience, elevating how products are presented across the website through compelling imagery and engaging written content.\nThis leader will be responsible for developing talent, improving operational excellence, and evolving team structures, policies, workflows, and standards to support a rapidly growing, fast-paced business. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in both commercial photography and editorial content, combined with a strong track record of building high-performing teams and leading leaders.\nKey Responsibilities\nStrategic Leadership\nEstablish the vision and strategy for Photography and Editorial to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.\n\nContinuously raise the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of photography and editorial content across customer-facing platforms.\n\nEnsure product presentation aligns with brand standards while supporting merchandising and business objectives.\n\nChampion innovation and continuous improvement in creative execution and content production.\n\nTeam Leadership & Development\nLead, coach, and develop the Photography Manager and Editorial Manager while providing strategic direction for their teams.\n\nBuild a high-performing organization through leadership development, succession planning, and ongoing coaching.\n\nFoster a culture of accountability, creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.\n\nSupport employee growth by identifying development opportunities and creating clear career pathways.\n\nOperational Excellence\nDevelop and evolve scalable workflows, policies, and standard operating procedures that improve efficiency while maintaining exceptional quality.\n\nLead initiatives that optimize content production to support increasing business demands and accelerated timelines.\n\nEstablish quality standards, performance metrics, and service level expectations across both departments.\n\nDrive process improvements that enable teams to scale effectively while maintaining consistency.\n\nCustomer Experience & Content Quality\nLead efforts to enhance the visual and written presentation of products across the customer-facing website.\n\nEnsure photography and editorial teams produce engaging, accurate, and customer-focused content that supports purchasing decisions.\n\nLeverage customer insights, analytics, and industry best practices to continually improve content performance.\n\nPartner with stakeholders to balance creative excellence, operational efficiency, and business objectives.\n\nCross-Functional Partnership\nPartner closely with sales, tech, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to align content strategies with organizational priorities.\n\nWork with Product and Tech teams to advocate on behalf of team\n\nServe as the primary leader responsible for coordinating Photography and Editorial initiatives across the business.\n\nInfluence strategic decisions related to customer experience, content production, and creative operations.\n\nQualifications\nRequired Experience\n10+ years of progressive experience in Photography, Editorial, Content, Creative Operations, or related creative fields.\n\nSignificant hands-on experience leading both photography and editorial/content production functions.\n\n5+ years of leadership experience managing managers and developing multi-level creative teams.\n\nDemonstrated success leading creative organizations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.\n\nProven experience developing scalable processes, operational standards, and creative workflows.\n\nExperience driving cross-functional initiatives with measurable business outcomes.\n\nKnowledge & Skills\nDeep understanding of commercial photography, studio operations, visual merchandising, and digital asset management.\n\nStrong editorial expertise, including copywriting, editing, content strategy, style guides, and governance.\n\nExceptional leadership and coaching skills with experience developing managers and building engaged teams.\n\nStrong strategic planning and organizational leadership capabilities.\n\nExperience balancing creative quality with operational efficiency and business priorities.\n\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.\n\nData-driven mindset with the ability to use metrics and customer insights to improve content quality and team performance.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience leading Photography and Editorial teams within an ecommerce or digital retail environment.\n\nExperience managing high-volume content production operations.\n\nFamiliarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM), Content Management Systems (CMS), and creative workflow platforms.\n\nExperience implementing AI-enabled creative tools and automation to improve productivity while maintaining quality.\n\nAdditional Details\nThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:\n$86,800 - $150,100Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
