The eBay Global Platform team is looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Bangalore team.\nIn this role, you'll be a core part of the Frameworks team, which is responsible for the Java frameworks that power all of eBay's site-facing REST, GraphQL, and Batch traffic. You'll work on features of Raptor.io, eBay’s Spring Boot-based Java Developer Platform. Your \"customers\" will be your fellow eBay developers, and you'll play a critical role in their success.\nYou'll partner closely with your US-based counterparts to deliver on the product roadmap and enhance our developer platforms.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nBuild & Deployment Automation: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Tekton to ensure fast, reliable, and automated software builds and deployments.\n\nRelease Management: Coordinate software releases across multiple teams, managing dependencies and aligning with the product roadmap.\n\nPlatform Development & Maintenance: Build, maintain, and improve our Spring Boot framework, ensuring its robust and scalable for thousands of internal applications.\n\nAI Powered Tooling: Identify problems and develop AI powered solutions to platform engineering problems.\n\nDocker & Containerization: Build and maintain optimized Docker images, run automated vulnerability scans, and manage our image repositories and registries.\n\nInfrastructure Management: Set up and maintain our development, staging, and production environments, and monitor system performance to ensure stability.\n\nSecurity & Compliance: Ensure the platform is secure by regularly patching images, handling sensitive data properly, and maintaining audit logs.\n\nDocumentation & Collaboration: Document processes, guidelines, and guides for developers while collaborating with infrastructure and SRE teams.\n\nRequired Skills and Experience\n3+ Professional experience in Java development\n\nStrong expertise in Maven, Spring Boot and version control systems such as Git.\n\nHands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Tekton.\n\nStrong knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.\n\nA collaborative mindset with a desire to work with cross-functional teams.\n\nIf you're passionate about platform engineering and eager to contribute to the tools used by eBay's software engineers, we'd love to hear from you.\nAdditional Details\neBay is an equal opportunity employer.
