This role demands a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, such as containers and Kubernetes, and Internet infrastructure technologies, such as DNS, HTTP proxies, SSH, and SMTP. The role requires knowledge of these protocols on Linux systems. This role also requires strong programming skills in languages such as Go and Python. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 3 years in the field, focusing on developing cloud-native infrastructure applications. The candidate should understand operational principles including high availability, reliability, scalability, and automation.\nWhat you will accomplish\nCollaborate with internal customers and partners to deliver key business outcomes.\nDevelop and enhance infrastructure applications to meet reliability, scalability, and availability needs of eBay.\nEnsure that infrastructure applications are compliant with eBay's security and operational standards.\nImplement observability practices to ensure comprehensive monitoring and alerting across cloud services.\nRespond to cloud incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Develop and maintain incident response plans.\nWhat you will bring:\nMinimum of 3+ years of programming experience with Go or Python or Java.\nDemonstrated expertise in Internet infrastructure protocols on Linux systems, including DNS, HTTP proxy, SSH, and SMTP in Linux-based environments.\n3+ years of experience in implementing large-scale, distributed, high-availability, fault-tolerant systems and infrastructure in a production environment.\nProficiency in delivering products within a multi-functional team environment.\nExtensive experience deploying applications with Kubernetes.\nExperience with AI for programming, designing, and troubleshooting.\nExperience in a high-traffic, large-scale environment.\nFamiliarity with large-scale bare metal operating system provisioning and managing operating system repositories is a plus.\nExperience in participating in open-source standards and contributing to open-source projects is a plus.\nAdditional Details\neBay is an equal opportunity employer.
