Working at eBay is a rewarding, challenging, and inspiring experience.\nRoles/Responsibilities:\nArchitect the development of features in the Android application\nNative Android app development and converting ideas, designs and requirements to concrete stable production builds\nCoordinate and collaborate with the Product and Engineering team to identify problems, come up with creative solutions, and help with tracking and delivering within the release plan\nUnderstand and implement Android specific design patterns\nExperience with Android Studio, Java, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Dragger, network debugging (e.g. Charles), revision control systems (e.g. Git) and bug tracking (e.g. Jira)\nDevelop and iterate within a rather lean, yet very fast-paced Engineering team\nDevelop code and testing methodologies to improve the DevOps \"Four Key Metrics\"\nBe part of a transformative, productive and fun startup culture \nJob Requirements:\n5+ years of experience developing Android applications, with deep experience in both Kotlin and Java\nDeep experience in unit testing and functional UI testing with JUnit / Espresso\nWell versed in SOLID principles\nExperience with Android Studio\nExperience with modern design patterns such as MVVM, Dependency Injection etc...\nStrong understanding and hands-on use of AI-powered developer tools to accelerate Android app design, development, and testing.\nAbility to collaborate and drive best practices with engineers from numerous teams\nExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologies\nExperience working with services teams to design optimal mobile services contracts\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working on large scale applications encompassing dozens of features\nExperience with patterns for achieving feature modularity\nExperience with reactive programming using RxJava / RxKotlin\nExperience with Jetpack Compose\nB.S Degree in Computer Science or equivalence\nBenefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
