You will work with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical innovation, including open-source projects and patent creation.\nThis is a full-time role with opportunities for professional growth and access to modern tools and technologies.\nWhat you will accomplish:\nLead the design, development, and maintenance of solutions that manage network traffic efficiently and support scalable network operations.\n\nImprove network performance through caching strategies and Points of Presence (PoP) optimization.\n\nDevelop robust, high-performance applications using C/C++ and Go.\n\nDeploy and manage scalable systems using Kubernetes.\n\nStrengthen network security and observability by implementing measures that protect infrastructure and monitor system health.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions and mentor junior engineers.\n\nContribute to technical innovation through open-source projects and opportunities to develop patented technologies.\n\nWhat you will bring:\n8+ years of experience in networking, traffic management, cyber security, or related areas.\n\nProficiency in C/C++ and Go, with experience in low-level Linux networking, Kubernetes, caching strategies, and distributed systems.\n\nExperience with Envoy for traffic management is preferred.\n\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and technical leadership skills, including experience working in large-scale environments.\n\nA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\n\nExperience contributing to open-source projects, working with Agile methodologies, or creating patents is valued, as are relevant certifications.\n\nFamiliarity with Java or other frameworks is also beneficial.\n\nAdditional Details\neBay is an equal opportunity employer.
