In collaboration with construction teams, the claims specialist will:\nAssess the causes and impacts of schedule delays and cost overruns on construction projects;\nPerform productivity, delay, and damage analyses, while applying industry-standard methodologies and best practices;\nOversee the compilation of data and the preparation of charts, schedules, and visual aids that simplify complex issues;\nDevelop claim strategies and provide recommendations to support successful outcomes;\nParticipate in the preparation and review of requests for compensation and formal claims submissions;\nCoordinate activities among various stakeholders, including project teams, accounting, legal counsel, and external consultants;\nAssist and support project teams during negotiations with clients;\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives by collaborating with Project Services and other internal departments.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Architecture; \nMinimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry;\nBilingual in English and French, with the ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders across Canada;\nMobility and willingness to travel to project sites and regional offices approximately once per month;\nProject Management certification or specialization (e.g., PMP) is considered an asset;\nProficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software.\nDesired Profile:\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills; \nExcellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a proven capacity to build and maintain effective working relationships;\nStrong organizational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing project demands;\nAbility to delegate responsibilities effectively and provide constructive feedback to team members;\nDetail-oriented with a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and rigor in all aspects of work.\nBenefits\n4 weeks' vacation per year;\nComprehensive group insurance program;\nRRSP group program with an employer contribution to a DPSP;\nEmployee assistance program;\nContinuing education;\nActive social club;\nFriendly and stimulating work environment;\nLarge scale projects;\nCorporate Clothing Program upon hiring.\nIn accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is $110,000 - $160,000. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity.
