The intern may be assigned to one or more teams within Risk Management and will contribute to a variety of analytical, reporting and operational initiatives.\nThe internship provides an opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of financial and non-financial risk disciplines within an international financial institution and to contribute to projects supporting risk-informed decision-making.\nAccountabilities and Responsibilities\nWorking under the supervision of Risk Management staff, the Intern will support a range of activities, including:\nConduct research and analysis on risk-related topics, industries, counterparties, countries and market developments.\nCollect, organize, validate and maintain risk-related data from internal and external sources.\nSupport the preparation of risk reports, presentations, dashboards and management information.\nAssist with portfolio monitoring, risk assessments, stress testing exercises and other analytical projects, as applicable.\nAssist with development of risk view on projects proposed for approval and recommendations on project structures\nSupport the review and documentation of risk processes, methodologies, policies and procedures.\nAssist with data quality reviews, reconciliations and control activities.\nContribute to the development and maintenance of databases, analytical tools and management information systems.\nParticipate in meetings, prepare meeting notes and follow up on agreed actions.\nCollaborate with colleagues across Risk Management and other Bank departments on assigned projects and initiatives.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process enhancement, automation and data management projects.\nWork in line with the Bank's Behavioural Competencies and Corporate Behaviours. \nKnowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications\nUndergraduate or postgraduate degree (completed or in progress) in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, data science, engineering, business, risk management, or another relevant discipline.\nStrong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and identify key insights.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of data analysis, visualization or programming tools is an advantage.\nStrong research, organizational and problem-solving skills.\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.\nInterest in financial institutions, risk management and development finance.\nWhat is it like to work at the EBRD? / About EBRD\nOur agile and innovative approach is what makes life at the EBRD a unique experience!
