We encourage innovation and movement, collaboration and problem-solving, and foster an environment where everyone can feel they belong, are valued, supported and empowered to succeed.\nIf you’re a collaborator who wants to help transform how businesses operate globally, get in touch - we’d love to discuss how Ebury can accelerate your career so you can shape the future.\nPlatform Engineer\nMadrid Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home\nSenior Platform Engineer (Go / Python / TypeScript)\nAbout the role\nThe Platform team builds the infrastructure, backend systems and tooling that every engineering team at Ebury builds and ships on.\nBecause software delivered at this level powers systems across the organization, what you build will be used by engineers in Ebury across all our products..\nYou'll write production code, own infrastructure, and design the abstractions other engineers use every day. \nWhat you'll work on\nBuilding and running the platform on AWS\nMaintaining and extending our Terraform and tooling module library across AWS and GCP\nImproving the deploy path: ArgoCD, GitHub Actions developers use to deploy, restart and inspect their services\nWriting services, controllers and tooling in Go and Python, and TypeScript where developer-facing tools need it\nImproving observability (Datadog), reliability, security and cost\nDebugging production issues that span application code, Kubernetes, networking and cloud services\nEvolve the Platform to an AI Assisted SDLC Platform internally and externally for our product engineers using frontier labs and OSS models.\nReviewing code, contributing to architecture decisions, and helping set platform standards\nWhat you'll need\n7+ years of software, backend, platform or infrastructure engineering experience\nStrong production experience with Go, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, and willingness to work across languages\nStrong hands-on experience running production workloads on AWS and/or GCP\nTerraform or similar Infrastructure as Code\nContainers and Kubernetes in production, at scale.\nStrong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, networking, concurrency, data consistency and failure modes\nA track record of building platforms, libraries or core systems that other engineers build on\nAbility to diagnose complex production issues across applications, infrastructure and cloud services\nStrong code-review and system-design skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication in English\nNice to have\nExperience building LLM platforms for AI assisted SDLC\nMulti-account or multi-region AWS setups, workload identity, policy enforcement\nKubernetes cluster lifecycle management, ArgoCD or other GitOps tooling\nKafka or other event-driven systems; PostgreSQL, Redis\nDatadog or OpenTelemetry or other distributed tracing systems experience.\nBuilding CLIs, SDKs or internal developer platforms\nHigh-volume transactional systems, or fintech/payments experience\nOpen-source contributions\nAbout us\nEbury delivers sophisticated, integrated solutions - business accounts, hedging, and financing - on a single platform with a seamless workflow.
