Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).\nEchodyne is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our fast-growing team. \nREQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE\nSenior-engineer level experience in mechanical engineering design for electro-mechanical products, with deep understanding of thermal, electrical, and environmental considerations.\nKnowledge of the mechanical considerations of PCB design and PCB packaging.\nAbility to advise RF, Microwave, Digital & Antenna engineering teams on constraints (mechanical, environmental, thermal) & work to a production solution.\nAdvanced-to-expert level user of Solidworks.\nKnowledge in implementing, interpreting and explaining ASME Y14.5 GD&T.\nKnowledge in hand and computational analysis for modal, stress and thermal considerations.\nDESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)\nProficient experience in ANSYS/similar analysis software for thermal and structural computational analyses.\nExperience leading the mechanical design of RF or millimeter-wave transmit/receive modules, or equivalent PWA-based transceivers, at x-band or above through qualification & product launch.\nCertified in ASME Y14.5 GD&T\nExperience designing and certifying products for IP rating requirements.\nKnowledge of various production processes and ability to tailor design to those processes to meet design to cost objectives.\nRelationships with local fabrication shops.\nKnowledge and/or experience with design approaches for RF isolation requirements.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBS, MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, with +5 years experience\nEligible to handle export-controlled data (ITAR, EAR)\nEchodyne’s technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant’s eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.
