This role requires ownership of assigned software components, solid systems knowledge, and strong embedded SW development mindset. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, develop, and optimize high-assurance software components using C++.\nParticipate in design and code reviews for new and existing systems, provide constructive feedback and contribute to high quality software.\nContribute to improvements in coding practices, testing and development tools.\nSupport testing efforts for your team; collaborate with partner teams as needed.\nWork alongside radar, signal processing, and other software engineers to implement platform functionality to meet specific system control and signal processing needs.\nREQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE\nExperience designing and building embedded Linux-based software applications in C++\nEmbedded systems debugging, troubleshooting, and code-testing knowledge using debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or multi-meters\nKnowledge of Python or other scripting languages for testing automation.\nKnowledge of software development life cycle, and good coding practices\nDesire and ability to learn quickly and be part of a world-class team\nExperience with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows, including pull requests, code reviews, branching, and merge conflict resolution.\nExperience writing unit and integration tests.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across hardware and software teams.\nDESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills) \nExperience with secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).\nExperience building tailored Linux OS’s (we use Yocto and Bitbake) and administering a Linux environment\nFamiliar with DevOps concepts, continuous integration, continuous deployment.\nExperience developing secure solutions for embedded electronic RF systems (Radar, Electronic Warfare, Cellular, or other Wireless Technology)\nExperience leading small technical efforts or mentoring juniors engineers is a plus.\nExperience with one or more common embedded communication protocols such as UART, SPI, QSPI, I2C, or TCP/UDP IP.\nProficiency in systems-level programming, memory management, and concurrency.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or equivalent military / industry experience\n3+ years of designing, implementing, integrating, and testing Embedded software solutions in real time operating environments\nEchodyne’s technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant’s eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.
