Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).\nEchodyne is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to join our fast-growing team. \nROLE OVERVIEW\nEchodyne is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to design, develop, build, and optimize manufacturing test systems and procedures that ensure product quality and production efficiency. \nThis position is best suited for someone who is detail-oriented, passionate about technology, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Working closely with design engineering, quality, IT, and production teams, the Sr Manufacturing Test Development Engineer will lead the development of new test systems used in a production environment, improve process robustness and efficiency to scale Echodyne’s manufacturing capabilities.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDefine radar manufacturing test requirements and test station design requirements\nDesign, implement, and maintain test hardware and software for the production line\nSupport test systems throughout the full lifecycle of development, implementation, scaling, and refinement\nWork with manufacturing engineers, software engineers, quality engineers, design engineers, and IT to integrate and support test systems\nPlan and execute evaluations of new or updated test processes to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and compliance with requirements\nSelect, evaluate and integrate test instrumentation\nMonitor and analyze test data to drive continuous improvement in yield, throughput, and quality\nCreate documentation and provide training to production staff on test procedures and tools\nWork with contract manufacturer partners to create, implement, and support test processes\nOptimize test strategy for efficacy, efficiency and return of investment\nREQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE\nProficiency with RF/microwave measurement methods and instruments (e.g., VNA/PNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters), with the ability to learn and adapt to advanced RF/microwave technologies\nProgramming proficiency in Python (MATLAB familiarity a plus)\nAbility to design and deploy complete automated test systems\nAbility to interpret and apply assembly drawings, schematics, mechanical models, and technical documentation\nKnowledge of computer/instrument communication protocols\nAble to develop PCBA designs used in automated test systems\nExperience developing test fixtures\nHands-on experience with test system acceptance procedures including repeatability and reproducibility of measurement systems\nDemonstrated ability to resolve technical issues in a timely manner\nEffective oral, written, and presentation communication skills\nDESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills) \nProvide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) input and influence during product development\nExperience with SolidWorks, Altium and/or other industry CAD tools\nAbility to work with 3D printers for prototyping, tooling, and production support.\nExperience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)\nProficiency in statistical techniques and analytical problem-solving\nAbility to build collaborative relationships across teams and with external partners\nExperience using data analysis tools like Minitab or JMP\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBS in electrical, electronic, mechanical, test engineering or related technical discipline\n10 or more years of experience in a Test Engineering role developing manufacturing test solutions\nEchodyne’s technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant’s eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.
