As a company driven on customer service and a high-quality product, we strive to offer leading edge technology and our team of technicians are driven to provide the highest quality possible.\nECHO NDE is currently seeking a CEDO Technician to join and contribute to our inspection team. This full-time position will report into the Division Manager and support operations throughout Alberta.\nResponsibilities\nAssist Radiographic Technicians with the preparation, setup, positioning, and operation of radiographic exposure devices, including gamma and X-ray equipment.\nOperate radiographic exposure devices and sources in accordance with applicable legislation, company procedures, client requirements, and radiation safety standards.\nPerform pre-use equipment inspections and assist with equipment checks, maintenance, and calibration as required.\nEstablish, barricade, and maintain controlled areas around radiographic work sites to ensure the safety of workers and the public.\nMonitor radiation levels using appropriate radiation detection equipment and maintain safe exclusion zones throughout radiographic operations.\nAssist with the execution of radiographic examinations of welds, materials, and components under the direction of qualified Radiographic Technicians.\nFollow all radiation protection procedures and take appropriate action to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure.\nMaintain accurate exposure, radiation safety, equipment, and inspection documentation.\nIdentify and report equipment deficiencies, unsafe conditions, or potential radiation safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.\nMaintain radiographic equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean, organized, and inspection-ready condition.\nComply with all company, client, regulatory, and site-specific health, safety, and quality requirements.\nTravel to various client sites and work a variety of shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and extended hours as required.\nRequirements\nCertified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO) certification is required.\nBasic knowledge of conventional and advanced NDE methods is considered an asset.\nCurrent safety certifications, including Confined Space, H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, and other industry-recognized training, are considered an asset.\nDemonstrates sound judgment and a strong commitment to safety when working in radiographic and NDT environments.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, supervisors, and maintenance personnel.\nWillingness and ability to travel to various client sites.\nValid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.\nEagerness to learn, develop technical skills, and work effectively as part of a collaborative team.\nWhy work with Echo NDE?\nWe understand that a team is shaped by its leaders and their ability to bring the best out in everyone.
