As a company driven on customer service and a high-quality product, we strive to offer leading edge technology and our team of technicians are driven to provide the highest quality possible.\nEcho NDE is currently seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our team in Red Deer, AB.\nReporting to the Division Manager, the Operations Coordinator will oversee the planning, scheduling, and dispatching of technical staff and resources to meet customer service requests.\nThis role is responsible for coordinating daily operations, ensuring effective resource utilization, supporting customer requirements, and maintaining accurate documentation related to service requests, invoicing, and employee compensation.\nResponsibilities\nReceive and respond to verbal and electronic customer service requests and ensure work orders accurately reflect customer requirements.\nPlan, schedule, and dispatch technical staff and resources to efficiently meet customer needs.\nBalance workload, priorities, and customer requirements to ensure effective utilization of technical staff and equipment.\nEnsure technical personnel have the appropriate skills, certifications, tools, and equipment required to complete assigned work.\nCoordinate travel and accommodations for technical staff as required.\nProvide technical staff with clear and timely information regarding work assignments and customer requirements.\nTrack service and work orders and review daily time records (DTRs) for accuracy.\nReview reports and supporting documentation to ensure customer invoices and employee payroll/compensation are accurate and processed in a timely manner.\nBuild and maintain productive relationships with customers through regular communication and follow-up.\nDevelop an understanding of customer business cycles and upcoming needs to support service planning and identify potential business opportunities.\nWork with customers to clarify resource requirements and ensure service requests are effectively supported.\nQuickly and effectively manage scheduling issues, conflicts, and changing priorities to maintain a smooth workflow.\nAssist with departmental budgeting and capital planning as required.\nMaintain and update the technical staff roster.\nCoordinate safety, radiation safety, and other required training for technical personnel.\nSupport the recruitment and onboarding of qualified technical and support staff.\nIdentify opportunities to improve employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention.\nRecommend training and development opportunities to improve employee skills and resource utilization.\nRequirements\nPost-secondary education in business, operations, administration, or a related field is preferred.\nMinimum 2 years of industry-related experience, preferably within NDT, inspection, industrial services, or a related environment.\nKnowledge of technical services and service lines to effectively deploy personnel and resources.\nUnderstanding of customer technical requirements and the ability to determine appropriate resource needs.\nKnowledge of equipment and resources required to perform various testing and inspection services.\nKnowledge of applicable collective agreements and the ability to ensure compliance with relevant terms and conditions is an asset.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers, technical staff, management, and other internal and external stakeholders.\nProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.\nExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nWhy work with Echo NDE?\nWe understand that a team is shaped by its leaders and their ability to bring the best out in everyone.
