The role is responsible for reviewing and coordinating mechanical designs, specifications, drawings, and BIM models to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, quality standards, and client expectations. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, resolve engineering challenges, and drive effective multidisciplinary coordination throughout the project lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead the review and validation of mechanical designs, engineering calculations, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards. \nDevelop, review, and approve detailed design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, technical reports, and engineering deliverables. \nCoordinate closely with the BIM team to ensure timely model updates, clash resolution, and multidisciplinary integration. \nReview and approve designs prepared by third parties, ensuring compatibility with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, where applicable. \nLead the preparation and timely issuance of IFP/IFF (Issued for Production/Fabrication), shop drawings, and SFC (Issued for Construction) drawings in line with project schedules and deliverable requirements. \nPerform engineering calculations, technical assessments, and design reviews to ensure the integrity, functionality, and constructability of mechanical systems. \nProvide technical support to site and construction teams, conducting site visits and resolving engineering and execution-related challenges. \nCoordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and integrated delivery. \nPrepare technical scopes and bid packages for materials and subcontractors, review engineering aspects of prequalification documents and material submissions, and support procurement activities as required. \nMonitor project progress and ensure adherence to quality, safety, cost, and schedule objectives. \nIdentify and propose value engineering opportunities during the execution stage to optimize project cost, efficiency, and performance. \nManage engineering activities across multiple projects and act as the primary technical focal point during meetings, reviews, and stakeholder discussions. \nMentor and guide Junior Technical Engineers, promoting technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and professional development. \nMaintain accurate engineering records, documentation, and project correspondence in accordance with company and project requirements.\nQualifications and skills requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. \nMinimum 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering and MEP coordination within industrial, commercial, or large-scale construction projects. \nStrong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. \nProficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination processes. \nGood understanding of Saudi regulations and international standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, and NFPA. \nStrong technical review, coordination, and problem-solving skills. \nExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. \nWhat makes a true AMANAian?\nWe know that our company growth and success come from our people who continuously drive our company, partners, and clients forward.
