You will define integration patterns and standards, provide architecture guidance, and review development work performed by the offshore team to ensure alignment with Client architecture and standards. This is a hands-on senior role combining deep Java and B2B engineering skills with technical leadership and governance.\nResponsibilities\n Integration Patterns and Technical StandardsDefine and maintain reusable integration patterns for B2B/EDI, API, and file-based flows (e.g., AS2, SFTP, REST, event-driven, batch).\nEstablish coding standards, design guidelines, error-handling and retry frameworks, logging/observability conventions, and security practices.\nCreate reference implementations, templates, and accelerators to speed up delivery and ensure consistency.\n\n Technical Direction and Architecture GuidanceProvide solution design and architecture guidance for new partner integrations and platform enhancements.\nEvaluate design options and trade-offs (performance, scalability, resilience, maintainability) and document key decisions.\nGuide teams on mapping design, transformation approaches, and canonical data models.\nAct as the technical escalation point for complex production issues and root cause analysis.\n\nReview and GovernanceReview designs, code, and mappings delivered by the offshore development team for quality, correctness, and adherence to Client architecture and standards.\nRun design and code review sessions; provide clear, actionable feedback and mentor developers.\nEnsure compliance with architecture principles, security requirements, and release/deployment practices.\nTrack recurring defects and review findings, and drive corrective actions and standards updates.\n\nDelivery and CollaborationPartner with B2B domain specialists, product owners, and QA to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.\nCollaborate across time zones with India and onshore teams, ensuring clear handoffs and shared understanding.\nContribute to CI/CD, automated testing, and documentation practices.\nCommunicate technical risks, dependencies, and progress to stakeholders.\n\nEligibility Requirements\n8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong Java expertise (Java 8+; Spring/Spring Boot preferred).\n4+ years of hands-on B2B/EDI integration experience (X12 and/or EDIFACT; common transaction sets).\nExperience with at least one B2B/integration platform (e.g., IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Seeburger, OpenText, Cleo, MuleSoft, Boomi).\nProven experience defining integration patterns, standards, or reference architectures.\nStrong knowledge of protocols and formats: AS2, SFTP, REST/SOAP, XML, JSON, flat files.\nExperience conducting code and design reviews and mentoring offshore or distributed teams.\nSolid understanding of relational databases and SQL, plus messaging/queue technologies (e.g., Kafka, MQ).\nStrong communication skills and ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n Preferred QualificationsExperience with enterprise integration platform frameworks\nCI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and test automation.\nObservability and monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Dynatrace).\nExposure to AI-assisted development or integration use cases (LLM-assisted mapping, error analysis).\n\nKey CompetenciesArchitectural thinking and sound technical judgment\nTechnical leadership and ability to mentor without direct authority\nRigor in quality, standards, and governance\nClear written and verbal communication across distributed teams\nOwnership and pragmatic problem-solving\n\nIn the US, the target base salary for this role is up to $180,000. Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
