Key directives include responding to requests for quotations in a timely and efficient manner, while delivering the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.\n\nWhat You'll be doing:\nParticipate in customer RFQ review meetings, either on-site at the customer or in-house \nPrepare cell layout drawings for the various RFQ's \nLiaise between mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and assembly manufacturing groups for technical assistance in developing concepts and processes and provide assistance in estimating labor and material costs to meet customer requirements\nLiaise with suppliers to obtain estimates of major material and equipment costs required for the preparation of budgets and proposals\nPrepare equipment layouts. \nParticipate in the elaboration of the list and schedule of technical deliverables for the complete project as well as the corresponding list of interfaces\nTechnical follow-up during engineering, procurement & construction\nIdentify technical risks and their impact on the project & mitigate their effects\nPrepares specifications and estimates costs\nProvide proactive customer design support for vertically integrated components and complex electro-mechanical assemblies\nWork with internal and external design and technology functions to create unique specifications and applications\nWork to specific project budgets and timelines provided by Applications Manager\nPrepare draft budget and quotation proposals for review with the Applications Engineering Lead, the Sales Manager and Key Account Managers\nAttend escalation and red flags as directed by Applications Manager\n\nLeadership\nPromote positive relations with internal customers, partners, customers, vendors, and distributors\nRecommend and consistently administer policies and procedures to enhance department operations and support continuous improvement\nEnforce and promote Eclipse policies throughout the entire company including Human Resources, personal development, Safety and Environmental\nRecommend Eclipse Data Base improvements on an ongoing basis to increase efficiency throughout the company\nLiaise between all departments as required to ensure on time delivery proposals, and internal procedures are executed in a timely manner\n\nProject Execution\nNotify the Applications Manager as early as possible if milestones cannot be met\nAttend appropriate meetings when required\nEnsure that Company ISO Standards are followed\nWork with Human Resources and abide to Employment Standards Act and the Eclipse Employee Handbook\nPromote environmentally and ergonomically safe conceptual product and/or processes to ensure safety of Eclipse personnel and the customer’s employees\nEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Conduct Code\nAdhere to the Eclipse Project Operating Policy\nMaintain company confidentiality and ensure employees know accurate information as required\nMaintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate Vision\nFoster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the business\nRepresent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company\nComplete other duties and projects as assigned\n\nTravel\nExpectation of travel up to 30% of time could be anticipated, however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needs\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\nUniversity Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics or equivalent experience\nMust have excellent experience with AutoCAD and Solid Works and be an expert in MS Office\nExperience with hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical controls and integration of equipment\nExperience and working knowledge of most CSA, ANSI and CE standards\nWork requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to motivate teams to produce quality proposals within tight timeframes, with changing priorities\nConflict resolution skills are and asset\nMust be self-motivated and lead by example with a positive attitude and outlook in the company\n\nEclipse Automation is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive work environment.
