Our global network includes facilities in Canada, the United States and Hungary ensuring regional expertise and global strength.\nThe Position:\nReporting to the Electrical Shop Manager, the Electrical Manufacturing Project Lead will provide leadership and coordination of electrical manufacturing of the project. The incumbent will assist in development and implementation of electrical manufacturing policies and procedures, liaise directly with other department personnel to ensure project goals are met on budget, while delivering the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nTechnical: \nRecognize problems, initiate action, assist in problem solving and evaluate results on major issue prior to releasing drawings to manufacturing\nReview and approve all project designs and that the designs meet the Eclipse high standards of quality, reliability and safety as well as meets Electrical Safety Code requirements\nEnsure concepts meet Eclipse Automation quality, safety and reliability standards\n\nLeadership: \nGuide, direct, teach, assist and advise department staff on practical designing practices and standards\nGuide, organize and coordinate assigned staff to prioritize project delivery\nOversee the Electrical project team functions to ensure project contract deliverables are met\nPromote positive relations with partners, customers, vendors, and distributors\nRecommend and consistently administer policies and procedures to enhance department operations and support continuous improvement\nEnforce and promote Eclipse policies throughout the entire company including Human Resources, personal development, Safety and Environmental\nRecommend Eclipse Data Base improvements on an ongoing basis to increase efficiency throughout the company\nLiaise between all departments to ensure on time delivery of purchased items and on time delivery of Eclipse machinery and equipment\nWork with Human Resources and abide to Employment Standards Act and the Eclipse Employee Handbook\nPromote environmentally and ergonomically safe conceptual product and/or processes to ensure safety of Eclipse personnel and the customer’s employees\nEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc. Conduct Code\nAdhere to the Eclipse Project Operating Policy\nMaintain company confidentiality\nMaintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate Vision\nAdhere to all Health and Safety rules and procedures\nRepresent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company\nComplete other duties and projects as assigned\nFoster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the business\nAbility to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects\n\nProject Execution:\nAct as the point-of-Contact for the PM department on all for assigned projects\nUpdate project completion with respect to weekly confirmation of critical milestones, labour hours and percent complete on project\nEnsure Scheduled milestones are met\nUpdate Open Issues List as required\nNotify the PM if milestones cannot be met\nAssist in performance reviews\nAttend appropriate meetings\nAssume full responsibility for department scope of assigned projects\nDelegation of duties of the project to team members\nEnsure that Company ISO Standards are followed\nEnsure project tasks are entered correctly and promptly for accurate man hour records for project management department\nRespond to CAR’s issued to the department\nEnter labour projections into the DB for assigned projects\nInitiate and participate in the planning and development of project mechanical designs that are applicable to the Electrical portion of the project\nWhen required, place requisition for ESA inspection of project\nWork with Tool Room Lead to develop a build and wiring plan for the project\nEnsure that purchased parts are kitted and stored appropriately ready for project\nEnsure that design updates are executed correctly\n\nTravel:\nExpectation of travel up to 30% of time could be anticipated, however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needs\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nEducation:\nHas successfully completed an Electrician Certificate of Qualification ( Industrial or Construction Maintenance)\nHas completed a College Diploma, CEGEP, vocational or technical training.
