Our global network includes facilities in Canada, the United States and Hungary ensuring regional expertise and global strength.\nThe Position:\nThe Mechanical Engineering Support Co-op will work directly with the Mechanical Engineering Manager to assist in delivering standards, procedures, efficiency tools and strategic initiatives. The incumbent will work with Engineering staff to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nAnalyze existing engineering workflows and create relevant procedures or work instructions\nCreate process flow maps related to engineering processes\nCreate instruction videos or documents for mechanical and controls engineering processes\nAnalyze engineering data and identify areas for design-reuse\nProduce working drawings, detail drawings and bills of materials for designs, sub-assemblies or products using SolidWorks.\nAnalyze designs/drawings/models and systems for compliance to determine additional factors for internal Design Re-Use\nWork within SolidWorks PDM to transition files through the proper workflows and update data within PDM as required\nPopulate CAD data to the engineering design libraries in a structured manner\nAssist stakeholders in advancing training material through video or documentation.\nAssist stakeholders in advancing new technology or systems\nAssist in the creation of technical content for the central knowledge base.\nWork requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills\nFollow design best practices.\nAbility to work within a team environment and actively participate in group meetings\nComplete other duties and projects assigned\nEnsure scheduled milestones are met\nNotify the appropriate departments if milestones are not projected to be met by expected due dates\nCreate productivity tools using SolidWorks\nMaintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse Corporate Vision\nFoster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the business\nWhat We're Looking For:\nCurrently enrolled in a post-secondary engineering degree, diploma or equivalent, specializing in robotics & automation, mechanical, systems or mechatronics engineering. \nPost-secondary level proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Office\nStrong organizational skills\nAbility to establish priorities and work without supervision\nKnowledge of developing SolidWorks macros and design tools\nA self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision\nStudents should be enrolled in a post-secondary academic program requiring a co-op/work term\nWhy Join Us:\nHere at Eclipse Automation, creation and innovation are at our core, and our culture reflects that.
