Our global network includes facilities in Canada, the United States and Hungary ensuring regional expertise and global strength.\nThe Position:\nReporting to the Mechanical Production Supervisors, the Mechanical Production Project Lead will provide leadership and coordination of mechanical manufacture of the project. The incumbent will assist in development and implementation of mechanical manufacturing policies and procedures, liaise directly with other department personnel to ensure project goals are met on budget, while delivering the Eclipse vision and the Eclipse entrepreneurial culture.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nTechnical:\nRecognize problems, initiate action, assist in problem solving and evaluate results on major issue prior to releasing drawings to manufacturing\nReview and approve all project designs and concepts and ensure designs/concepts meet the Eclipse standards of quality, reliability and safety\nDevelop and coordinate project designs through working with the mechanical engineering & manufacturing team\n\nLeadership:\nGuide, direct, teach, assist and advise department staff on practical manufacturing practices and standards\nGuide, organize and coordinate assigned staff to prioritize project delivery\nOversee the mechanical manufacturing to ensure project contract deliverables are met\nWork to specific project budgets and timelines provided by project management\nPromote positive relations with partners, customers, vendors, and distributors\nRecommend and consistently administer policies and procedures to enhance department operations and support continuous improvement\nEnforce and promote Eclipse policies throughout the entire company including Human Resources, personal development, Safety and Environmental\nRecommend Eclipse Data Base improvements on an ongoing basis to increase efficiency throughout the company\nLiaise between all departments to ensure on time delivery of purchased items and on time delivery of Eclipse machinery and equipment\nWork with Human Resources and abide to Employment Standards Act and the Eclipse Employee Handbook\nPromote environmentally and ergonomically safe conceptual product and/or processes to ensure safety of Eclipse personnel and the customer’s employees\nInitiate and supervise the planning and development of project mechanical designs and order any required department materials\nEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc. Conduct Code\nAdhere to the Eclipse Project Operating Policy\nMaintain company confidentiality\nMaintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate Vision\nAdhere to all Health and Safety rules and procedures\nRepresent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company\nComplete other duties and projects as assigned\nFoster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the business\n\nProject Execution:\nAct as the point-of-Contact for the PM department on all for assigned projects\nUpdate project completion with respect to weekly confirmation of critical milestones, labour hours and percent complete on project\nEnsure scheduled milestones are met\nUpdate Open Issues List as required\nNotify the PM if milestones cannot be met\nAssist in performance reviews\nAttend appropriate meetings\nAssume full responsibility for scope of assigned projects\nDelegation of duties of the project to team members\nEnsure that Company ISO Standards are followed\nEnter and/or update department employee time reports and job tasks allocations\nEnsure project tasks are entered correctly and promptly for accurate man hour records for project management department\nRespond to CAR’s issued to the department\n\nTravel:\nExpectation of travel up to 30% of time could be anticipated, however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needs\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nEducation:\nCandidate is the owner of a Certificate of Qualification for a Millwright, Tool & Die Maker, or Machine Tool Builder and Integrator or has demonstrated equivalent experience in a automation/manufacturing environment\nMust have intermediate level experience with AutoCAD and Solid Works and be familiar with MS Office\nExperience with hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical controls and integration of equipment would be an asset\n\nExperience:\n7+ years’ experience in the custom automation industry\nWork requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects\nFacilitate and actively participate in group/project
