Our global network includes facilities in Canada, the United States and Hungary ensuring regional expertise and global strength.\nThe Position:\nThe Mechanical Production Supervisor will provide leadership and coordination of the Mechanical Production department. Work directly with the Project Procurement Lead, Electrical Shop, and Engineering teams to ensure production timeline and goals are met. Work with the Tool Room personnel to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nTechnical\nActively participate in design review meetings to identify project design/build risks \nEnsure all mechanical assemblies are built to customer product specifications \nRecognize problems, initiate action, assist in problem solving and evaluate results on major issue\nEnsure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while making sure product standards meet or exceed our customers’ expectations\nProvide proper tools and materials for specific department processes\nMaintain and control department tools and materials inventory.\nAssist with all relevant non-conformances, ensuring timely closure, effective identification of root cause and corrective actions\nConsult with Tool Room leadership to inform and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures within the company’s continuous improvement programs\nOther duties as assigned\nLeadership\nSupervise, direct, teach, assist and advise MTBI and MTBI apprentices\nEnsure that project teams have maintained the shop floor to the 5S standard that has been set, while bringing forward and continuous improvement initiatives\nEnsure project portfolio is executed to the current scope and schedule \nEnsure that projects resource requirements are met and escalated to Tool Room leadership as necessary \nPromote positive relations between departments and with partners, customers, and vendors \nEscalate any risks to schedule in a timely manner\nRecommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations which support continuous improvement initiatives\nActively participate in the hiring process with the Talent Acquisition team\nEnforce Eclipse policies throughout the department including Human Resources, Safety and Environmental\nEnsure concepts meet Eclipse Automation quality, safety and reliability standards\nAdhere to the Eclipse Project Operating Policy\nPromote Personal Development and Safe work practices, working environment and improving department operations and productivity \nAct as a safety leader to drive improvements in health and safety culture at Eclipse\nRespond to worker H&S concerns and correct substandard safety conditions/practices, including enforcement (as necessary)\nFollow all safety rules prescribed by H&S legislation/company requirements\nConsult and cooperate with the Joint Health and Safety Committee, and cooperate with others carrying out H&S duties, including entering H&S incidents in a timely manner\nMaintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate Vision and confidentiality ensuring that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc.
