Working directly with applications department, customers and Project team to direct project scope and ensure profitability goals are met on budget. Work with the management and plant personnel to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nDirect and coordinate project schedules and resource allocation within the individual project teams\nMonitor and communicate the project scope to the project teams as well as updating entire project time of contract changes\nCreate and review project schedules with the customer and project team to ensure on time project delivery\nReview initial project scope and buy-in to project budget\nDevelop and manage project budgets and maintain project profitability\nManage company man hours versus projected project hours to maintain company optimum capacity work functions\nMonitor all progress by the project teams on a daily basis, pinpoint possible issues with design, budgets, schedules and customers\nLiaison between all departments to ensure time delivery of purchased items and on time delivery of Eclipse machinery and equipment\nCo-chair company’s project meetings to ensure all department leaders meet design specifications, schedules and project budgets\nReview new projects with applications and department managers to allocate budgets and company resources\nEnsure completion of all project contract deliverables through verification checklists including internal pre shipment check lists are complete\nParticipate in the development of change order proposals\nAssist in the design evaluation of accepted project orders\nRecord all Research & Development work per project is reported for SR&ED claims\nMonitor individual and departmental performance on a project level to identify department short falls and apply performance metrics against final execution\n\nLeadership:\nMonitor and update project work-in-progress to report project profitability to accounting on a monthly basis\nCommunicate project invoicing to the Accounting department and ensure payment is received\nPromote positive relations and open communication techniques with partners, customers, vendors, and distributors\nRecommend and consistently administer policies, process flow and procedures to enhance operations\nAbility to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects\nAbility to communicate effectively with personnel, resolve and trouble shoot potential problems with supervisors\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nHas successfully completed a University Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering / Robotics Automation Technology or equivalent experience\nFormal project management training through PMP or working towards obtaining PMP Certification\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD and Solid Works would be an asset\n10 years' experience in the custom automation industry within a supervisory role\nExperience in strategic planning and execution\nKnowledge of contracting, negotiating, accounting principles and sound business practices\nKnowledge of structuring resource planning, managing budgets and revenue expectations\nWork requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills\n\nWhat We Offer:\nReimbursement for tuition and professional dues\n3 weeks of vacation and 3 paid personal days (to start)\nRRSP matching program\nFree snack program\nWhy Join Us:\nHere at Eclipse Automation, creation and innovation are at our core, and our culture reflects that.
