They are urgently seeking a researcher to join the team on a 12-month fixed term contract.\nYou will come from a software, electronics or engineering background with a PhD in cyber/information security, AI, machine learning or similar with specific research experience in systems security, network security, cyber-physical systems security, AI security, formal verification or systems and software assurance. Day-to-day you will be working to advance the state-of-the-art in three primary areas:\nRealistic environments to train and validate AI agents which mimic real-world networks.\nNovel AI agent architectures and technologies.\nAI agent evaluation tasks for cyber security.\nRequirements:\nA PhD (or equivalent research experience) in cyber security, information security, AI or a related area. Those who haven’t been awarded their PhD yet will also be considered.\nStrong software development skills including Python and its various AI/ML focused libraries, version control (git) and Linux.\nA research mindset, able to plan and carry out a programme of research independently or collaboratively and produce publication standard papers and deliver technical presentations to diverse audiences.\nUK nationality and UK residency for at least 5 years - this role requires eligibility for SC level security clearance.\nOffices are in central London with excellent nearby tube and national rail links. Hybrid working is the norm with just 1 day per week in the office required (although occasional meetings may require you to be present more than that).
