The role calls for extensive experience developing comparable systems such as PCR-based or microfluidics-based diagnostics systems combined with an impressive academic background in Electronics, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering. Crucially, you will need to be expert in bringing the constituent technologies together within a successful design, and taking this through to manufacture.\nYou will need:\nAn excellent academic background including a 1st or 2.1 in Mechatronics or a related subject from a leading university\nExpertise in the design of complex mechatronic systems and substantial experience of taking such systems through the full development lifecycle\nStrong collaboration and problem solving skills\nFull, existing UK work permission without restriction or the need for sponsorship.\nAbility to attend the Cambridge office daily as this is an on-site role.\nThe following are highly advantageous but not essential: Embedded software development skills, Python scripting for automation, experience in developing optical assemblies, microfluidics, precision motor control, and aptitude with mechanical and electronic CAD packages.\nThis is an exciting time to join, as the company's revolutionary products reaches customers and begins to accelerate healthcare research.
