IS RECRUITING A FIXED ASSETS & DATA ANALYTICS OFFICER\r\n\nDeadline:\nOctober 28th, 2026\nat 5pm prompt\nJob level: 6 | Job grade: 3A\nReady to work across the national territory.\nThe position is based in Douala.\nJOB PURPOSE\nThe Fixed Assets & Data Analytics Officer responsible for ensuring the effective management,\ncontrol, monitoring, and reporting of the Bank's fixed assets while leveraging data analytics to\nimprove financial reporting, asset management, operational efficiency, and decision-making.\nThe role combines traditional fixed asset accounting and control responsibilities with analytical\ncapabilities to generate actionable insights for management.\nJOB CONTEXT\nThe role implies\n• High attention to detail and accuracy.mlkj\n• Strong communication and presentation skills.\n• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.\n• Continuous improvement mindset.\n• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.\n• Integrity, accountability, and professional judgment.\nApproximately 60% Fixed Assets responsibilities and 40% Data Analytics responsibilities.\n\nKEY RESPONSABILITIES\nFixed Assets Management\n• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and ensure all asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and retirements are\naccurately recorded.\n• Coordinate periodic physical verification and asset tagging exercises across the Bank.\n• Reconcile fixed asset records with the General Ledger and investigate discrepancies.\n• Calculate and monitor depreciation/amortization in line with IFRS, Group policies, and local regulatory\nrequirements.\n• Review invoices and capitalization requests to ensure proper asset classification.\n• Monitor capital expenditure (CAPEX) against approved budgets and provide variance analysis.\n• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset reports for management and Group Finance.\n• Support internal and external audit reviews by providing documentation and responding to audit queries.\nData Analytics & Reporting\n• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics using available reporting tools.\n• Collect, clean, validate, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple sources.\n• Perform trend analysis and identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for business improvement.\n• Automate recurring reports to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.\n• Support Finance, Operations, Procurement, and other business functions with data-driven insights.\n\nKEY RESPONSABILITIES\n• Conduct ad-hoc analysis on costs, revenues, asset utilization, and operational performance.\n• Develop management information reports (MIS) and executive dashboards for ExCo and senior management.\n• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across reporting systems.\n• Assist with predictive analysis, forecasting, and scenario modelling where required.\n• Promote data governance standards and analytics best practices.\nInternal Control & Governance\n• Ensure adherence to internal control procedures relating to fixed assets and data management.\n• Identify control weaknesses and recommend process improvements.\n• Maintain updated procedures and desk manuals covering both asset management and reporting processes.\n• Support regulatory examinations, verification missions, and compliance reviews.\n\nJOB PROFILE\n• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field.\n• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in finance, fixed assets accounting, management reporting, or data analytics.\n• Experience within the banking or financial services sector is preferred.\nExperience & Qualifications\n• Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting and IFRS requirements.\n• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, VBA desirable).\n• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.\n• Knowledge of data modelling, reporting automation, and database concepts.\n• Familiarity with banking systems and ERP applications.\n• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.\nTechnical Competencies\n\nPlease submit your CV and motivation letter\nto \nlatest October 28th, 2026, at 5pm prompt,\nwith the subject « FIXED ASSETS & DATA ANALYTICS OFFICER ».\nNB: Only applications matching with the desired profile will be contacted.\n“Ecobank is committed to providing equal opportunities to all and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
