You will oversee engineering activities across semi-standard solutions, customised hyperscaler solutions and complex Total Water Management projects, supporting projects from opportunity development and technical qualification through design, execution, commissioning and final handover.\nYou will work closely with commercial teams, engineering partners, Procurement, customers and other key stakeholders to develop scalable water treatment solutions and ensure projects are executed safely, on time, within budget and to the required technical standards.\nWhat you will do\nLead and develop the engineering organisation\nLead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary GHT engineering team, including engineering leads, project engineers, project managers and back-office resources.\nSet priorities and allocate resources across the opportunity and project portfolio.\nDevelop engineering capabilities, succession coverage and technical communities of practice.\nFoster collaboration with the wider Central Engineering organisation and shared design, execution and commissioning resources. \nLead technical development of customer opportunities\nPartner with CAMs, BDMs and technical stakeholders to qualify opportunities and translate customer requirements into effective engineering solutions.\nOversee solution architecture, design basis, project assumptions, scope boundaries, interfaces, risks and technical deviations.\nEnsure technical proposals, estimates and schedules reach the required level of maturity before project commitment.\nProvide senior technical leadership in discussions with customers, General Contractors, MEP contractors and engineering consultants. \nDrive successful project delivery\nProvide engineering and project governance from concept and detailed design through procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning and handover.\nEnsure projects meet agreed requirements for scope, schedule, cost, quality, HSE and compliance.\nEstablish effective project review and escalation routines covering engineering maturity, interfaces, change control, resources and risks.\nSupport the resolution of critical technical and execution challenges.\nEnsure lessons learned are captured and applied to future projects. \nBuild scalable engineering solutions\nDevelop reusable engineering standards, specifications, calculation methods, templates and approved equipment architectures.\nDrive the development of scalable and modular GHT solutions while maintaining appropriate customisation for specific customer requirements.\nImplement consistent design reviews, document control, quality assurance and technical approval processes.\nUse project and commissioning feedback to drive continuous improvement.\nManage partners and stakeholders\nDevelop and manage external engineering partners and specialist resources.\nDefine clear scopes, quality expectations and performance standards for external partners.\nCollaborate across Sales, CAM, ITC, RD&E, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, HSE, Operations and Service.\nRepresent the GHT Engineering project portfolio in governance and leadership reviews.\nWhat you will need\nEssential qualifications and experience\nDegree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Process, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.\nSignificant experience in water and wastewater treatment process design.\nPractical knowledge of design basis development, mass balances, process selection, equipment sizing and selection, PFDs, P&IDs and technical specifications.\nProven experience delivering water treatment plants through multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, performance testing and final handover.\nProven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex international projects.\nStrong knowledge of water treatment processes and packaged systems.\nGood understanding of project commercial fundamentals, including CAPEX, cost control, change management, contracts and risk allocation.\nFluent written and spoken English.\nAbility and willingness to travel regularly across Europe, up to 50%. \nPreferred experience\nHyperscaler projects.\nGeneral Contractors, MEP contractors and engineering consultants.\nPretreatment and cooling tower blowdown treatment.\nWater reuse.\nRO/UF, filtration, clarification and DAF systems.\n3D/BIM coordination.\nFAT/SAT and commissioning.\nAdditional European languages.\nWhat success looks like\nSafe and
