Are you ready to make an impact?\nEcolab is searching for a driven Intercompany Supervisor I for future opportunities within our Finance division in Pune, India.\nEcolab is seeking a supervisor to join our Finance team.\nThis is a key role responsible for leading and coordinating the accounting projects and serving as a partner to divisions and functions across the company.\nWhat’s in it For You:\nYou will join a growth company offering a competitive salary and benefits.\nThe ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth.\nThe support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives and ideas to achieve our best.\nFeel proud each day to work for a company that provides clean water, safe food, abundant energy and healthy environments.\nWhat You Will Do:\nLead and develop a 12+ member Intercompany accounting team delivering end-to-end RTR IC activities.\nOversee end-to-end Intercompany operations, ensuring delivery against SLAs, KPIs, staffing, capacity, financial, and operational targets.\nDrive clearance of aged and open Intercompany items while maintaining high-quality reconciliations and SOX compliance.\nEnsure strong governance over reconciliation quality, controls, and documentation standards.\nProvide hands-on guidance and support to help team members achieve performance and delivery goals.\nDemonstrate strong end-to-end understanding of Intercompany processes and accounting flows such as CIT, GIT, Markup.\nMaintain effective stakeholder management to resolve issues and ensure business alignment.\nCollaborate and support peers to ensure overall team success and continuity of operations.\nDrive timely execution of RTR Intercompany processes, transitions, and accounting implementation projects as per company timelines.\nPlan, coordinate, and prioritize team activities to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient process execution.\nBuild and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including controllers and corporate functions.\nGovern preparation, review, and monitoring of KPIs and SLAs to ensure service transparency and business alignment.\nManage team capacity and resources including leaves, vacations, attrition, and hiring support to ensure business continuity.\nCoach, mentor, and train team members to strengthen technical capability and promote a performance-driven culture.\nSet clear performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and provide structured feedback to drive outcomes.\nIdentify, analyze, document, and improve Intercompany processes to enhance efficiency, control, and scalability.\nProactively detect improvement opportunities and initiate optimization, automation, or transformation projects.\nSupport resolution of complex or out-of-policy issues through guidance, decision-making, and escalation.\nParticipate in development, review, and maintenance of SOPs, desktop procedures, policies, and narratives.\nEnsure effective knowledge management through documentation, updates, and cross-training initiatives.\nIdentify high-potential talent and develop succession strategies to ensure leadership continuity.\nSupport audit readiness and provide required support during internal and external audits.\nAssist staff to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems.\nOwn day-to-day operational decisions within Intercompany processes and escalate exceptions with clear recommendations\nAct as first-line control owner for Intercompany reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis in line with SOX requirements.\nDrive continuous reduction in aged Intercompany balances and audit observations.\nWork on succession plans (detect potential candidates and develop strategies).\nSupport knowledge management activities by identifying and updating knowledge as requested and required.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nDegree in accounting or finance and eight or more years of significant work experience with at least one year of supervisory experience.\nStrong supervisory and leadership skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nSolid understanding of accounting principles.\nUnderstanding of internal controls over financial reporting (i.e Sox)\nKnowledge of SAP (GL, CO, BI) and clear understanding of Intercompany Process and financial accounting processes, incl.
