These costs are covered by CoolIT and are enacted from your first day \nWhat You Will Do:\nLead the engineering team responsible for CDU mechanical architecture and interfaces, physical integration, structural-mechanical design, seismic analysis, reliability, packaging, and manufacturability. \nGuide your team in mechanical product design through the full new product introduction (NPI) lifecycle; concept development, detailed design, validation, product launch & handoff to mass production, field support & sustaining activities, and value engineering until product end-of-life. \nDrive increased product reliability, shorter development times, and fewer design cycles by standardizing design approaches and increasing re-use of qualified components and assemblies across products. \nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and engineering excellence. \nReview and authenticate your team’s technical work ensuring technical competence and rigour is upheld. \nConduct performance management activities including performance evaluations, Goal Setting Reviews (GSRs), coaching, and ongoing feedback. \nSupport your team members in developing their technical, decision-making, and leadership skills with Individual Development Plans (IDPs), training, and professional development. \nSupport business decisions by contributing to high-level project effort and timeline estimates. \nConduct detailed work planning and estimation, participate in defining the work breakdown structures for current and queued projects. \nBalance your team’s workload by supporting sprint planning and capacity smoothing. \nSupport and contribute to continuous improvement of internal engineering standards, workflows, and guidelines. \nCollaborate with external parties, including industry partners, customers, consultants, and critical component suppliers to support technical decision-making, continuous improvement, and adoption of best-in-class technology. \n Minimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related engineering discipline. \nMinimum 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, product design, datacenter design, or a related technical field. \nP.Eng. or P.Tech.(Eng.) designation with APEGA, or ability to obtain within six months. \nStrong expertise in mechanical design, including GD&T, tolerance analysis, FEA, DfM, DfA, DFMEA, and design validation. \nExperience leading hardware product development through the full New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle, from concept through production. \nDemonstrated people leadership and/or technical leadership experience. \nExperience designing complex products for high-volume manufacturing environments. \nStrong engineering analysis, project planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound, data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience managing or supervising engineering teams. \nExperience with agile or hybrid hardware development methodologies and sprint planning. \nExperience in datacenter product design or datacenter project engineering.\nStrong cross-functional collaboration skills with experience working across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.\nWe thank every candidate in advance, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
