The apprentice will develop a strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax regulations, pension administration, and employee benefits whilst building the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to become a payroll professional.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPayroll Administration\nAssist with the preparation and processing of payroll information.\nSupport the maintenance of employee payroll records, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.\nHelp validate payroll data and identify discrepancies prior to payroll processing.\nAssist in responding to employee payroll queries professionally and confidentially.\nBenefits Administration\nAssist with the administration of employee benefit programmes.\nSupport enrolment and changes for benefits such as: Pension, Life assurance, Private medical insurance and Employee assistance programmes\nLiaise with benefit providers and internal stakeholders as required.\nSupport annual benefits renewal processes\nApprenticeship Responsibilities\nSuccessfully complete the Level 3 Payroll Administrator Apprenticeship programme.\nAttend all required training\nComplete assignments and assessments within agreed timescales.\nWork towards achieving professional competence across payroll administration activities.\nApply learning from the apprenticeship programme in day-to-day work.\nKnowledge, Skills and Experience \nEssential\nGCSE Maths and English (Grade 6 or above) or equivalent.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nGood numerical and analytical skills.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality.\nIT skills, including Microsoft Office applications - particularly Excel\nStrong organisational skills\nDesirable\nPrevious administration experience.\nExperience using HR or payroll systems.\nAwareness of payroll or employee benefits process\nPersonal Attributes\nA positive and proactive attitude.\nFlexibility and a willingness to help colleagues to achieve team tasks.\nStrong customer service focus.\nExcellent attention to detail.\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team.\nCommitment to continuous learning and professional development.\nAbility to handle sensitive information\nProblem Solving skills\nOur Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion\nAt Ecolab, we believe the best teams are diverse and inclusive, and we are on a journey to create a workplace where every associate can grow and achieve their best.
