This role is ideal for an engineer passionate about combining innovative product design with advanced simulation and analysis.\nWhat's in it For You\nDay 1 Coverage: Employer-paid comprehensive benefits, including dental, prescription drug, vision, paramedical coverage, and a $1,000 annual Health Spending Account.\nRRSP: 2% employer-sponsored contribution.\nThree weeks of vacation, six flex days, and a one-week company-wide holiday shutdown.\n$1,000 annual professional development allowance.\nDress for your day in a casual, professional environment.\nOpportunity to develop industry-leading cooling technologies for the world's most advanced computing environments.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead the design and development of Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) through the full New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle.\nDevelop and evaluate design concepts through feasibility studies, prototyping, testing, and validation activities.\nPerform detailed mechanical design using principles of structural mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid systems engineering.\nConduct advanced finite element simulations to assess structural integrity, shipping performance, and seismic response.\nCreate and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, technical reports, and design documentation.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, customers, and industry partners to deliver innovative products on schedule.\nSupport product certification, validation testing, and production readiness activities.\nReview and approve engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.\nDrive continuous improvements that enhance reliability, manufacturability, performance, and cost effectiveness.\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and technical standards.\nPosition Details\nLocation: Calgary, AB\nWork Arrangement: Hybrid\nSchedule: Full-time\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related discipline.\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA, or eligibility to obtain registration within 12 months.\nMinimum 7 years of mechanical engineering experience, including product design and development responsibilities.\nExperience leading hardware products through the NPI process from concept through production launch.\nStrong experience applying finite element analysis (FEA) to structural-mechanical design challenges.\nExperience with product design for high-volume manufacturing environments.\nExperience with PDM, PLM, engineering change management, and product lifecycle processes.\nProficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks for detailed mechanical design and engineering drawings.\nStrong technical problem-solving, communication, and project execution skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience performing structural integrity assessments for shipping, vibration, shock, and seismic loading conditions.\nExperience in HVAC, thermal management, fluid transfer systems, datacenter infrastructure, or critical equipment design.\nExperience with rapid prototyping, design validation, and laboratory testing.\nKnowledge of piping systems, P&IDs, and building mechanical systems.\nExperience with Design for Lean Six Sigma or related product development methodologies.\nExperience in high-reliability or critical infrastructure product design environments.\nExperience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership.\nWe thank every candidate in advance; however, we will contact only those selected for an interview.
