The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar or related.\nWhat’s in it For You:\nStarting on Day 1: Access to our comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, matching 401K, company-paid pension, stock purchase plan, paid parental leave, select discounted childcare resources, and more\n\nThe opportunity to take on some of the world’s most meaningful challenges, helping customers achieve clean water, safe food, and healthy environments.\n\nThe ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth\n\nThe support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best.\n\nWhat You Will Do:\nEnsures that Garyville plant procedures and programs comply with LDEQ and EPA environmental regulations.\n\nManages the following tasks that are required for regulatory compliance by local, state, or federal agencies: Annual Air Emissions Inventory and Annual Air Compliance report\n\nAssist the plant with monitoring, sampling, waste shipment tracking and testing programs as needed and to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental permit limitations.\n\nCreate annual and monthly reports such as Tier II, Annual Waste Summary, Toxic Release Inventory and Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs)\n\nCoordinate regulatory inspections and regulatory reporting with agencies\n\nInterpret regulations and identify sound solutions across air, waste and water medias\n\nSupport the Garyville Plant as the environmental expert during third party audits, such as: ECAP, RC14001, LDEQ, and EPA.\n\nLead environmental improvement and waste reduction projects to help meet company sustainability goals.\n\nServes as an environmental resource to field and operations personnel, process engineers, pre-startup safety reviews (PSSRs) and Incident investigations.\n\nSupports the guiding principles of Responsible Care to continually improve Garyville’s plant’s safety, health, environmental performance, process safety, security, and efforts to respond to public concerns relating to design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products.\n\nSupports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by “doing it right the first time” and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties.\n\nSupports and incorporates the activities of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) into ongoing work duties through teamwork within and across departments.\n\nSupports new product introduction to facility assuring acceptable controls are in place.\n\nPosition Details: This position is based in Garyville, LA\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, environmental science or related field\n\n5 years of relevant environmental compliance experience and knowledge in a manufacturing environment\n\nDemonstrated experience applying environmental regulations (ex. RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act) and working with environmental regulatory agencies (ex. EPA, LDEQ)\n\nNo Immigration Sponsorship Available for this role.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience managing LPDES wastewater permits, stormwater permits and large quantity generator (LQG) sites\n\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to deal with various levels of employees, management, vendors, and customers\n\nStrong organizational skills, with an ability to be flexible in a dynamic work environment\n\nGood working knowledge of SAP\n\nAnnual or Hourly Compensation Range\nThe pay range for this position is $101,400.00 - $152,100.00.
