These costs are covered by CoolIT and are enacted from your first day \nWhat You Will Do:\nPerform hands-on assembly, installation, setup, and modification of automated test equipment, fixtures, and laboratory infrastructure. \nRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and equipment documentation to support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities. \nBuild and modify electrical and mechanical assemblies, including wiring, sensors, actuators, controls, fixtures, and test equipment. \nSupport the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation equipment and test infrastructure. \nTroubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical wiring, sensors, actuators, controls, instrumentation, and automated test equipment. \nPerform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on automation and test equipment to ensure reliable laboratory operations. \nSupport infrastructure projects, equipment upgrades, lab modifications, and new test-system installations. \nWork with engineers and other technical team members to implement automation and test-system improvements based on defined requirements. \nMaintain accurate documentation of equipment configurations, wiring changes, maintenance activities, and modifications. \nSupport the procurement and installation of components, tools, equipment, and materials required for automation and laboratory infrastructure projects. \nMaintain organized, safe, and clean laboratory and test areas, including proper management of equipment, tools, cables, fixtures, and workspaces. \nEnsure automation equipment, test stations, and supporting infrastructure are properly labeled, organized, and maintained. \nSupport inventory management of automation components, electrical parts, cables, sensors, tools, and other laboratory materials. \nWork closely with Test Engineers, Technologists, and Technicians to support day-to-day test operations and resolve equipment-related issues. \nFollow established safety procedures, electrical practices, and laboratory requirements when working with automation and test equipment. \nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve laboratory organization, equipment reliability, test efficiency, and overall operational readiness. \nMinimum Qualifications:\nDiploma in Engineering Technology or a related field. \n2+ years of experience in automation. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with data center liquid cooling systems. \nStrong hands-on technical and troubleshooting capability \nDetail-oriented approach to test setup and execution \nClear documentation and reporting of test results \nEffective communication with engineers and cross-functional teams \nAbility to work in a fast-paced, multi-project lab environment \nCommitment to safety, quality, and accurate test execution. \nWe thank every candidate in advance, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. \nPlease note immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.\nSuccessful candidates for this position will be required to undergo background checks.\nABOUT COOLIT, AN ECOLAB COMPANY:\nFounded in Calgary, Alberta in 2001, CoolIT Systems is the leading Direct Liquid Cooling technology provider for data centers, supercomputers, and desktop computers.
