You will manage team workload, support technical development, and collaborate with industry partners to drive continuous improvement and adopt best-in-class technologies. As a functional team leader, your success will be measured by your team’s ability to perform effectively and achieve its goals. You will also foster a team culture that attracts, develops, and retains top industry talent.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n Oversee the technical design process used for Direct Liquid Cooling products, ensuring the product development workflow remains competitive and enables the team to achieve project targets. \nManage the team's workload, prioritize tasks, and delegate effectively, while also focusing on building the team's technical knowledge, supporting career growth, and managing performance. \nCollaborate with external parties, including industry partners, customers, consultants, and critical component suppliers, to support technical decision-making, continuous improvement, and adoption of best-in-class technology without diluting Engineering’s ownership of design standards, processes, and workflows. \nWork with other departments to define clear cross-functional roles, responsibilities, decision boundaries, and escalation paths for product development activities that involve Engineering. \nAct as the Engineering team’s point of contact and decision maker for design standards, engineering processes, and team workflows, ensuring these practices are clearly communicated, consistently applied, and aligned with cross-departmental needs.\nWHO YOU ARE:\nBasic Qualifications:\nMinimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar Engineering disciplines. \nMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience. \nStrong understanding of thermal design and fluid dynamics concepts. \nDeep understanding of mechanical design and engineering, including mechanism analysis, GD&T, FEA, DFM, DFMEA, PLM, thermal simulation, testing and validation. \nStrong understanding of the New Product Introduction process, with proven experience managing hardware development through the full product lifecycle from concept, prototyping, verification, validation, and production transfer through to mass production. \nPreferred Qualifications:\n3+ years of people management and/or technical leadership experience (managing or supervising engineering teams).\nExperience with high-volume production for industrial products.\nPossess P.Eng designation or similar professional credentials.\nSkills:\n Strong CAD design skills. \nLeadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team. \nStrong organizational skills. \nEffective time management skills. \nStrong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to align Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and external parties on design requirements, process expectations, and product development deliverables.\nAbility to oversee the design of complex mechanical components and assemblies. \nCapacity to manage team workload, prioritize, and delegate tasks. \nAbility to coordinate with external parties while representing Engineering’s decisions on design standards, development processes, and workflow expectations. \nProven ability to manage and execute departmental plans and budgets spending. \nCapability to lead cross-departmental product development initiatives and drive alignment from early concept definition through design release, production readiness, and mass production support. \nWHY COOLIT?\nWe strive to be an employer of choice and as such we believe in rewarding our employees with career and development opportunities that will maintain and strengthen our culture while aligning to our vision and values.\nWe are a company that is full of vibrant, innovative people who love what we do.
