And also Power BI strategy\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nPlatform Architecture & Ownership\nDefine and maintain the enterprise architecture for Microsoft Fabric.\n\nEstablish architectural standards, reference designs, and best practices for analytics solutions.\n\nEnsure platform scalability, performance, security, and reliability across all workloads.\n\nAct as the technical authority for platform design decisions and architectural exceptions.\n\nFabric Capacity Architecture\nArchitect Fabric capacity usage models based on workload type, concurrency, and business criticality.\n\nContinuously optimize the balance between license-based and capacity-based consumption to control cost and performance.\n\nDesign and own the Power strategy, determining when users require:\nPower BI Pro or Premium Per User licenses\n\nPlacement of workloads and users within Fabric capacities\n\nGovernance & Usage Control\nDefine governance policies for workspace structure, access control, dataset reuse, and deployment patterns.\n\nGuide teams on efficient use of Fabric compute resources and Power BI capabilities.\n\nPrevent over-consumption and misuse of capacity through architectural controls and design reviews.\n\nDeveloper Architecture Guidance\nProvide architectural direction and design reviews for Power BI and Fabric solutions.\n\nAdvise developers on:\nSemantic model design\n\nPerformance optimization\n\nRefresh strategies and workload separation\n\nPromote standardized patterns and shared assets to reduce duplication and improve maintainability.\n\nMonitoring, Reporting & Chargeback Enablement\nArchitect and deliver Power BI reports and dashboards to monitor:\nPower BI license assignment and utilization\n\nFabric capacity consumption and trends\n\nWorkspace, dataset, and workload usage\n\nEnable chargeback or showback models by providing reliable, auditable consumption metrics.\n\nProvide leadership with insights into platform cost drivers and optimization opportunities.\n\nStrategic Evolution\nStay aligned with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI roadmap and licensing changes.\n\nEvaluate new Fabric capabilities and define adoption patterns.\n\nDrive continuous improvement of the analytics platform architecture.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE\nTechnical & Architectural Expertise\n· Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Power BI administration, licensing, and governance.\n· Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including capacities and workload monitoring.\n· Deep understanding of:\no Semantic models and shared datasets\no Performance tuning and optimization\no Enterprise BI security and access models\n· Experience with Power BI Admin Portal, REST APIs, and capacity metrics (preferred).\nGovernance & Cost Optimization\n· Proven experience architecting and governing enterprise analytics platforms.\n· Strong understanding of licensing, capacity planning, and cost optimization principles.\n· Experience supporting FinOps, chargeback, or showback models is highly desirable.\nCommunication\n· Ability to influence and guide developers, data engineers, and solution architects.\n· Strong stakeholder communication skills, including explaining architectural and cost trade-offs.\n· Comfortable working with IT leadership, Finance, and Procurement teams.\nExperience & Seniority\n· 7+ years experience in BI, analytics, or data platforms.\n· 3+ years in a senior architect or platform lead role.\n· Experience operating analytics platforms at enterprise scale.\nQUALIFICATIONS\n· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering or related field\n· Fluent English
